We held our wedding reception at The Sandbar in December 2025 and couldn't have been happier with every aspect of the experience. From the very first enquiry, the communication was smooth, responsive, and reassuring — exactly what you need when planning a special event. On the day itself, the staff were warm, friendly, and attentive without ever being intrusive, making both us and our guests feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. The location and setting were simply stunning — perfect for photos and creating that relaxed, fun, celebratory atmosphere we were hoping for. Our guests were charmed by the ambience, and the whole evening flowed beautifully. We had our wedding here and yes the views are amazing but every wedding function is more determined by how your guests enjoy the evening. The food service is very poor and while they didn't get everything wrong, some guests left hungry and waiting for food at 8:30pm. Would not recommend after the embarrassment my wife and i faced from the look on the faces of our guests as they wished us goodbye.

Terrible service and very poor quality of food. We had our wedding here and really let our guests down was the poor wait service. Our guests left without even having food as the service was quite delayed and poor quality of food. Very disappointed with the service. The views for ceremony was amazing on the deck.

Sandbar was an absolutely magical venue for our beach wedding and Michelle was the fairy godmother of this castle who held everything together, took care of the bridal party and the guests. Beautiful venue, welcoming staff and of course Michelle, the heart and soul, thank you!

Sandbar was a great venue for our beach wedding. Amelia was very friendly and helpful with the preparations, relaxed and organised. The venue looked fabulous on the night, and the service was fantastic. A number of guests commented on how helpful and friendly the staff were. The festive and relaxed atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. It was great to have someone at the venue coordinating the night, and still have a unique wedding, We highly recommend Sandbar.
