Skypark - Events Venue
The park is split into three sections however all are connected and can be used individually or together.
The Bar
Enjoy all the spectacular scenes and magnificent atmosphere in a more intimate and enclosable space that makes up the bar. The unique room flows onto two waterside decks nestled beside the sparkling pond, facing the waterfall.
The Terrace
The beautiful, glittering light of the stars are almost yours alone in this area of the park. Be awe-inspired as you celebrate your event with the shimmering pond and waterfall reflections adding just a touch of magic.
The Rainforest
The Rainforest is the idyllic area for events to cater for large numbers. Built in amongst and fully embraced by the astonishing World Heritage Listed Rainforest, there is no better way to be indulge in Cairns' most exclusive rainforest venue. With a natural, built in staging area the open air location is the perfect scene for functions needing a little more space and a lot more uniqueness.

Teetering 50 metres above a deep natural lagoon, the AJ Hackett Bungy Jump is the most epic experience. With 16 jump styles unique to Skypark, there’s a jump for everyone. Whether you’re a first time jumper or a seasoned thrill seeker, we will push your limits to the max!!
On the Giant Swing, you’ll be winning, when you’re SWINGING!! The only multi-person swing in Australia reaches speeds of up to 120km/h in just 3.5 seconds and perfect for up to groups of 3 at once.
If you're looking for something a bit lower on the thrill scale, then get on top of the world on our BRAND NEW Walk the Plank as you experience life on the edge 140m above sea level!
Combine your Skypark activities on your wedding day by taking the leap with your loved one or swinging through the jungle after saying ‘i do!’

Skypark Cairns is located close to JCU University at the very end of McGregor Road in Smithfield in the middle of our World Hertiage listed rainforest.
11km from Palm Cove and 17km to Cairns positions it centrally making it a great location for a wedding! You have the tranquilty and peace of being away from the Cairns CBD but with many accomodation selections still in reach.
If your guests have there own transport they can drive and park in the public carpark or alternatively can be dropped off!
Uber and taxi are also readily avaible.
Large coaches and buses can be arranged.
Our liquor license extends to midnight.
We have limited catering options available onsite. We advise engaging a local catering company. Our preffered suppliers and ones we work with constantly are as follows;
We are a predominant outdoor venue so for every wedding enquiry we suggest organisnig a marquee as a back up. Marquees can be sourced from one of our prefered suppliers.
Use of the terrace and rainforest areas throughout the day and through to the evening. Please note the park is open to the public upto as late as 5pm so the downstairs bar area and platforms are used by guests during this time. Exclusivity for the entirety of the park ONLY starts from 6pm onwards.
We have suffient on site toilets to service upto 150 guests. If your wedding exceeds that number then alterntaive arrangements for portaloos will have to be taken into consideration.
Please note structures, furniture and lighting are not included as part of this cost and will need to be hired from Skypark or from an extrenal supplier.
Yes for any events at the park security guards are required. We use a set local security provider and will quote accordingly for your event depending on numbers.
Strictly no. We are a licensed establshment. You may set up a bar tab or a beverage package or simply allow your guests to buy there own! Please see website for currents drinks list.
Yes! We have set night packages that can be purchased to allow you or your guests to jump during the evening when the park is closed to the public.
Skypark Cairns is open to the public from 10am every day....with the exception of Christmas Day and staff party day!
