At Shambala Estate, couples can choose the setting for each part of their wedding day. Vows might take place beside a cascading waterfall, beneath the Chapel’s stained-glass windows or in a courtyard centred around a classical fountain. Gardens provide space for photographs and pre-dinner drinks before guests gather for dinner and dancing.

This Gold Coast Hinterland wedding venue caters for ceremony-only weddings, micro weddings and larger celebrations with up to 150 seated reception guests. A team of five wedding coordinators shares each couple’s plans and provides support from the first enquiry through to the final dance. Four onsite cottages also give couples the option to include a mountain stay in their wedding plans.

Ceremony spaces at Shambala Estate

• The Atrium: A European-inspired courtyard with a central fountain, established gardens and an open-air setting. Accommodates 40 seated guests or 150 standing on the bricked area.
• The Grotto: A secluded garden ceremony space with natural rock, tropical foliage and a cascading waterfall backdrop. Accommodates 80 seated or 100 standing guests, with space for pre-dinner drinks in the Grotto garden.
• The Gazebo: A white garden pavilion surrounded by lawns, mature trees and rainforest gardens. Accommodates 40 seated or 100 standing guests, with surrounding outdoor areas for gathering after the ceremony.
• The Chapel: A non-denominational ceremony space with soaring ceilings, stained-glass windows, air-conditioning and a PA system. Seats up to 144 guests and includes a covered garden portico for sheltered arrivals and pre-dinner drinks.

Wedding reception spaces

Galaxy Ballroom

The Galaxy Ballroom hosts up to 150 seated guests beneath chandeliers and a galaxy light ceiling. A foliage-framed feature window provides a backdrop for the celebration, while the light-up dance floor gives guests somewhere to gather after dinner. The room also includes a bar, stage, DJ and PA system, and fireplace.

Waterfall Pavilion

For smaller wedding receptions, the Waterfall Pavilion accommodates up to 60 seated guests. Garden-facing windows, a crystal chandelier and sides that can open in suitable weather connect the space with the surrounding rainforest. It can also serve as a sheltered setting for pre-dinner drinks before a larger Ballroom reception.

About

Tony & Tara have brought an abundance of love and wellbeing to Shambala Estate, which they purchased and rebranded in 2022. They fell in love with the property and having Buddhist values they have created a sanctuary of inclusivity, peace and love to the grounds.
