The primary purpose of the wedding website is to give guests a central hub where they may find information about your big day. ... If properly composed, your save-the-date card and wedding invitation should provide guests with the essential information they need for your wedding

Hi Florence,

A huge congratulations on your engagement and your upcoming wedding. A website is a good idea if you have a large number of guests attending from different states/countries. However, to manage a website can take a lot of time and money, so be sure to budget accordingly. There are some fantastic apps (free and paid) that you can use for managing your wedding party & guests and updating them with all the information that they need to know for your big day. Please let us know if you require any assistance. We wish you the happiest wedding day!

Kind regards,
The team at Impact Style & Design xo

Hello Florence. Congratulations on your engagement. I hope you are having lots of fun planning your upcoming wedding. The first thing I tell all couples is that you get to choose what you include in your wedding and what you leave out. If a Wedding website appeals, there are some benefits to having one, but many couples don't have one and everything runs smoothly. The choice may come down to whether you see the benefits saving you time in the long-run and making the process of planning your wedding more enjoyable, or whether you see the time it will take to maintain your site, 'just something else you need to do'. There is no right or wrong answer.

Benefits can include;

  • Saving money on the cost of printing invites and RSVP cards
  • Not printing those invites makes it an eco friendly option
  • Helps you manage your guest list and keeps everything in one secure location
  • Makes it easier to give directions to your wedding and any other detailed instructions, or information you need to pass onto guests (great for private property weddings, weddings in regional locations, or when you have guests travelling from inter-state or overseas to attend your wedding).
  • Helps if you have to make last minute changes due to weather - guests can stay up to date via the site.
I hope this helps you to decide whether a wedding website is something you need or not. Please let me know if I can be of any further help. Christine Ligthart

Hi Florence,

Congratulations on your engagement and upcoming wedding.

I recommend a wedding website if you have guests attending from multiple countries/states, if you are having a destination, if you have a lot of information you need to share with your guests, or if you would like to save on the cost of invitations.

A website allows you to invite your guests, manage your rsvp's and share a lot of information.

Please let me know if you need any further help.

Kind regards,

Kelly-Louise
