At the last wedding we organised the bride and groom both took part in a Champagne sabrage (Cutting the top off a champagne bottle with a sword) and then poured a champagne tower!

This created excitement and some amazing photo opportunities.

Your wedding day is a day you will never forget so the sky is the limit.

I believe this is such a personal thing. Have a think about what you would like to include and your celebrant should be able to incorporate this for you.

Some ideas are.

  • Hand Binding
  • Tip of different colour sands into a jar to symbolise coming together
  • Giving of flowers to family members (sometimes to symbolise a loved one passed)

Whatever you do, as long as it means something to you!

The officiant of your ceremony will have some ideas on how to make your ceremony special and should be very flexible and willing to accommodate this.

This is something that you will need to work with your celebrant or priest with. A lot of them are very flexible and can include a variety of special and unique rituals into your ceremony. Examples could be a special reading by a family member or friend, a handfasting ceremony, a candle ceremony, planting a tree, or anything else that is personal to you as a couple. I highly recommend my clients to do something special like this because it makes your ceremony unique and memorable.
