Hello Catie l,

Congratulations and we wish you and your partner all the very best for your unforgettable day in June 2018 and also your life together.

These days many venues and ceremony sites have banned the traditional "confetti" throws and some are even concerned about rose pearls as when wet they become very slippery - an OH+S issue.

A couple of ideas is to have leaf and herbs in bio degradable throws or even more romantic is small bio degradable lanterns with special messages written on them to you and your partner from all of your guests which can be released by each guest as your leave your ceremony or even later after your reception ( remember to have the photographer/videographer capture all the personal messages and the "release" as it will be sensational) - if you choose to release after the reception the lanterns could form part of your escort table too.... please check and confirm with local council as to permits and costs as each local council has different by - laws and always have someone on clean up detail immediately after the wedding party and guests have left the ceremony or reception site where any throws or releases have taken place.

I do hope this helps and if you need any further support please do not hesitate to contact us at LUXE - Unforgettable Events.

Your day - your way .

Cheers to you both,

Kerrie.

Hi Catie - It is really important to make sure you check with the venue if there are any items you can't use. Confetti ... rice .... herbs. All the best with the planning.

Hi Catie, congratulations on your upcoming wedding. You could possibly use confetti as an alternative to rose petals and bubbles.

I hope this has helped answer your question and given you so more ideas. Enjoy your big day, it will come fast. Kind Regards Simone - Elegant Dream Wedding & Events

Hi Catie

Yes Kelly-Louise Weddings have given you some fantastic ideas already and KISS Weddings has clarified the restrictions that may apply to what items can be thrown and cleaning up afterwards.

Can i suggest that if you want the guests to feel part of the end celebration then also getting them to create something is also another alternative to throwing something. Decorating cup cakes, writing on a memorable item or even adding lines to a poem to be read at reception are just some other ideas.

Good luck and congratulations.

If you need any other advice just ask.

Hi Catie

Kelly-Louise has provided many good suggestions for you already, just thought I'd mention to check with the venue or wherever you are having your ceremony as many will have restrictions on what can be thrown. As much as you can ensure them you will clean up after yourselves, with wind and weather conditions you may not be able to get them all. Some wineries won't allow rose petals for example and it's very common for places not to allow rice or confetti to be thrown.

I hope this helps, good luck with your big day.

Maybe Balloons?

Your guests could write a wishful message for you and your partner and those wishes could be released into the sky. I know it's not something that you throw but I've done this before and it's a great alternative. Also, the balloons fly away, so there nothing to clean up and most venues won't have an issue with that.

All the best and good luck with everything.

Please feel free to contact us should you have anymore questions.

Kind Regards,

Jacque

Hi Catie,

Huge congratulations on your engagement and upcoming wedding.

I have had many brides use a wide range of dried flowers and even herbs such as lavender, sage, thyme and rosemary. I have also seen sequins, paper planes, feathers, leaves (spray painted or natural), mini Pom poms... Really, anything goes. You can really have fun with it.

If you need any further help, please get in touch.

Regards,

Kelly-Louise
