OVERVIEW
Hello my dear couple, and congratulations on your engagement!
If you have found your way to my page, chances are you are at the beginning of one of the most exciting chapters of your lives. You may already have a clear vision of your wedding, or perhaps you have a hundred ideas and no idea where to begin. Either way, you are in the right place.
I am Nadia Duran, and for more than 20 years I have had the privilege of planning, designing and styling weddings in Australia and around the world.
And after all these years, I still genuinely love what I do.
I love that very first conversation with a couple. Hearing how you met, learning about your families, understanding what matters to you and discovering all the little details that make your story yours. Because before we talk about flowers, venues, colours or table settings, I want to understand you.
My role is to take everything that is in your head, the ideas you love, the things you are unsure about, your priorities, your traditions and even the things you haven't thought about yet and bring them together into one beautiful, considered celebration.
I am both a Wedding Planner and a Wedding Designer, and I believe those two worlds should never be separated.
A beautiful wedding means very little if the day doesn't flow. And a perfectly organised wedding can still feel disconnected if there isn't a strong creative vision behind it.
That is why I look at your wedding as one complete experience.
From the venue, flowers and styling to the entertainment, food, timing and the way your guests move through the celebration, every element should connect. You shouldn't have to spend your wedding day thinking about what happens next, whether a supplier has arrived or if something has been forgotten.
You should simply be there, completely present, enjoying it.
Your traditions. Your families. Your story.
Having planned weddings in more than 40 countries, I have been fortunate to work with couples and families from many different cultures, religions and backgrounds.
I understand that these celebrations can sometimes involve more layers, different traditions, family expectations, ceremonies and ways of doing things. My role is never to tell you which traditions belong and which don't.
It is to listen, understand what is meaningful to both of you and find a beautiful way for everything to coexist.
Over the years, my work has been recognised with a number of industry awards, including Designer of the Decade by the Australian Bridal Industry Academy in 2019 and Best Wedding Planner Asia Pacific by RSVP Club in the UK in 2023.
Those recognitions mean a great deal to me. But more than 20 years after planning my first wedding, the moment I love most hasn't really changed.
It is seeing my couple walk into the celebration we have spent months imagining together and watching their faces when they realise:
So whether you are planning a wedding here in Sydney, bringing two cultures and families together, or dreaming of a Destination Wedding somewhere beautiful on the other side of the world, I would love to hear your story.
Tell me about the two of you. Tell me what you love. Tell me what you definitely don't want. Tell me about your families, your traditions, your crazy ideas and the things you haven't quite figured out yet.
And together, we can create a wedding that doesn't simply look beautiful, but feels completely, unmistakably yours.

We are planning our own big day but realised we have never actually been to a wedding before. We have the budget sorted, but we are a bit lost on the actual timeline. We want to know how a non-religious ceremony leads into a buffet reception and how long each part typically lasts so we aren't just guessing based on what we see on TV.

Most weddings follow a very natural flow and once you understand it, it becomes quite easy to plan.
A typical non-religious wedding day looks like this:
The key is not to overcomplicate it, focus on creating a smooth flow rather than strict timings and everything will feel effortless on the day.
My mother in law is being a nightmare! will a planner help?
Nadia Duran
Yes, hiring a planner can be very helpful. We create a structured planning process, manage expectations and diplomatically handle family dynamics so that you don’t feel pressured or overwhelmed. Your planner becomes the “go to” person for questions, opinions and logistics. This often reduces tension with a mother in law who is overstepping.
