Emily has experience in the events industry for over seven years, having worked in multiple venues across Sydney in their management teams. Her industry knowledge covers venue management through to styling, planning and event coordination. How Does The Pricing At Emily Jean Events Work?

Emily Jean Events have three unique packages, from partial planning (Ruby Package, $1999.50) to full planning (Diamond Package, $3749.50), and on the day coordination (Emerald Package, $1249.50). Each package has everything you might need in the run-up to your wedding day, and they can also create bespoke packages to suit your requirements. To book your wedding with Emily Jean Events, they require a 25% non-refundable deposit. The remaining balance is due one month before your wedding day.

FAQ

First, you'll need to get in touch with us either through email or phone. We'll discuss your wedding, such as the date, location, how many poeople you're expecting and the style you're going for. We will then provide you with a quote and hold your wedding date for 7 days. 
When you decide to go ahead with the quote we book in your date, get a contract signed and send through an invoice for the 25% deposit.  

Once this has been done we schedule an initial consultation and go from there. 

If you want to plan your wedding yourself but want someone to come in a month before the day and manage the small details, confirm your vendors and timings and be on site to ensure your wedding day runs as planned, then you would hire a wedding coordinator. 

A wedding planner will work with you about 12 months out from your wedding with the planning, organising and logistics of your wedding day and post wedding celebrations. 

To book your event in with us we require a 25% non refundable deposit. The remaining balance must be paid one month prior to your wedding day.

Yes, we have flexible payment plans. We accept payments via bank transfer, Visa, Mastercard and AMEX. All card payments will incur a 1.75% merchant fee, this will always be shown on your invoice. Payments are usually paid in installments, a 25% non refundable deposit is required upon booking, 50% is due mid planning and the final 25% is due one month prior to your wedding day. We can be very flexible to suit your needs so let us know upon booking.

The earlier the better! Ideally, you should book your Wedding Planner at least 6-12 months in advance. Any bookings made later than 5-6 months from the wedding date may incur a rush fee, depending on the season.

We can’t recommend Emily from Emily Jean Events more highly. Not wanting to spend an eye-watering amount on ‘one day’, our wedding budget was small but sensible. After speaking to Emily, we opted for ‘on the day’ coordination and we are really glad we did. Small cost weddings mean that you have to do most work yourselves and after spending so long planning and working on it, we wanted the day to be one we could relax into, rather than rushing to get last minute jobs done. Emily understood our values and restraints and made the day run flawlessly. It really was one our our favourite days and we wouldn’t change a thing.

How do wedding planners charge?

Emily Jean Events

Most wedding planners come up with packages such as full wedding planning, partial wedding planning and on the day coordination. 

I can't speak for all wedding planners out there as we all run our businesses differently, but some planners will do a percantage of your total wedding cost (for example if your wedding cost $50,000 and they charge 10%, the fee they they charge would be $5,000), hourly fee or a set fee. 

At Emily Jean Events, we come up with packages to show our couples exactly what they're getting so they know what to expect. It's also alot cheaper to go with a package then to have a wedding planner who charges per hour. 

If your looking for a wedding planner ask them if they have any packages for you to have a look at, or if they can create a bespoke package for you.

Are wedding deposits refundable?

Emily Jean Events

Unfortunately, no. 

We require a non refundable deposit so we can book in and secure your wedding date. It's our security in case a couple changes plans. 

We get a lot of enquiries from couples who are wanting to book in a Wedding Planner or Wedding Coordinator and we are actually turning away business if another couple wants to book their wedding on the same date and we havent taken a deposit. If we do not take a deposit the couple can change their mind or cancel their booking.
