Callum and Allira, Canberra based Wedding Photographers, we fell in love with photographing weddings back in late 2016 and have been doing it ever since, we are also able to travel for the awesome coast weddings down in the bay or tuross heads, lots of great fishing spots for the guys if your looking for a place to have a wedding.
I started my interest in photography years ago after having a keen interest in anything and everything automotive. About
My names Callum and my interest in photography peaked in my early 20's with a love for modified and show cars. As time went on I started to do more photographs of people and then my best childhood friend was getting married and I agreed to photograph it and fell in love with capturing weddings and have been doing as many as I can a year ever since. It's such a wonderful honor to capture the story of couples and their families coming together and celebrating taking the next step in their lives.

FAQ
I usually encourge we meet for a coffee or a cold drink at a local canberra or queanbeyan cafe or club. This way we can break the ice and get to know eachother better, I will usually have samples of my work on hand to view and we can go over any plans you might have for the big day. Everyones wedding is done differently so we like to discuss a how we can help you and what package might fit your requirements best.
If you're happy and ready to book me as your photographer, I have an online contact form that you will need to fill out, after we meet or speak on the phone I will email the link to you. Once that is completed, I will generate a wedding photography contract that will need to be signed off on screen. You will also receive an invoice an a seperate email with details on making payment for your deposit. Payments can be made by EFT, Visa or Mastercard. You will get a confirmation email and copy of the signed document as a PDF once the contract has been signed successfully and deposit paid to confirm your date.
I work on a first-come first-served basis. For the popular dates, I am generally booked out 6 to 12 months in advance. The first thing to do will be to check if I have your date available so get in touch with me here to check.
Yes, I have public liability insurance.
No matter the day of the week or month of the year, all weddings are the same amount of work and are therefore all charged at the same price. We do however offer an easyweddings only special if you book us through easyweddings
Turnaround time on average for your edited wedding images is 4 - 6 weeks on average. During peak wedding season this can go out to 6 to 8 weeks. I know this sounds like it can be some time. I personally edit all photographs that we take for each wedding and I don’t outsource any of my editing to 3rd party vendors.
We will do the same with our second photographers photos and all images from your day are edited by me. I start with adjusting the colours to ensure everything is correct and make small adjustments from there to lighting, cropping and making black and white and colour versions. We will also do our best to remove poles or other unsightly items from the background as well. We will also sometimes add retouching if requested to remove a slight blemish here or there limited to the couple only.
I do. For the majority of the day I will shoot as much as possible using the natural light available to me. However during the course of the wedding day sometimes there may be situations that will call for flash to be used to produce the best images possible or to get artistic. One great example may be a sunset during the end of the day during couples portraits or family photos.
Cameras can only be set to capture a correctly lit photo for skin or for the background due to the lighting in these cases and as such if I capture the sunset you and your guests will be too dark to see. If I capture you and your guests correctly lit the background will be completely white due to having too much light entering the sensor. We counteract this by attaching triggers to our main camera and setting up a flash in a softbox or behind an umbrella to soften the light and spread it out so everyone is evenly lit. This allows me to make sure I get a great usable image in camera and saves me a lot of time during editing.

I personally use 2 cameras at a wedding so i can have one long lense and one wider lense for group shots, its very helpful during the ceremony because you can focus on getting both candids and full group shots of the wedding party without having to stop.
Notmally at reception I'll just carry one camera afterwards.
