Ben Fox Band is an extremely versatile musical act catering for Weddings, Corporate Functions and more. His approach is to bring the perfect atmosphere to your event, while making the planning process easy and enjoyable.
Equiped with his one man band show, Ben Fox can cater for your ceremony, canapés, dinner and dance music all on his lonesome when coupled with his DJ package. If a band is what you're after, just choose the line up that fits your event best.
Ben Fox Band's music style is diverse and will take you from the 50's to now with artists like Elvis and The Beatles to current Pop, RnB and Rock artists like George Ezra and The Killers.
About
From an early age I took to playing guitar after watching my dad practicing to songs from Beatles and Led Zeppelin albums. Since then I have worked on creating a product that is extremely versatile, whether it be a soloist to accompany your Ceremony, Canapés and Dinner Music or a live band or DJ to kick off your dance floor, I have something for you. The perfect package for your entire wedding day when on a budget. Have me perform live acoustic music during your ceremony, throughout canapés and dinner service, then switch to DJ after your first dance.
On a standard full day wedding I will arrive at your reception venue 2 hours prior to your ceremony start time and set up the PA, lighting system and DJ or band equipment depending on what you choose to book. I would then head to your ceremony location and perform light background music as your guests arrive, then once your ceremony commences, you have the option to choose songs for me to perform live for your:
Once your ceremony has concluded, I will then head to your canapés location and perform live while your guests mingle.
At your reception I will work around your run sheet and play as much live music where there are no formalities planned, then after your first dance, I will switch to party music and perform until your reception concludes.

You have the choice of adding a female vocalist, keyboardist, bass player or percussionist. The addition of extra musicians expands the range of artists and music styles I can cover during live performace.
All lighting and PA equipment will be supplied and set up before your event commences, including battery equipment for remote ceremonies and canapes. We also have an optional wireless mic you can use during your reception if needed.

Yes!! I own and opperate a PA system suitable for up to 400 guests. I also provide wirless microphones to use during your reception.

There is huge benefit to having a professional Band or DJ handling the music at your event due to the energy they can create while performing. They also act as a gate keeper for that one guest at every wedding who decides that they would like to take control of the playlist, things can get messy with songs chopping and changing every 20 seconds.
In my experience performing as both a live band and DJ, a band usually is the better choice for a huge party. The energy created by three or more performers interacting with your guests, getting them involved and singing along is hard to beat. I've had some of the best nights performing as a quartet and having guests up to sing.
It all comes down to budget in the end, but having the right entertainment at your wedding can drastically change the atmosphere of your day.
