Mojo Jacket is an energetic four piece acoustic band who play everything from pub gigs and festivals, to private wedding receptions, award ceremonies, birthday parties, corporate events, and charity fundraisers.
This professional band, currently has a 7 track EP of original material available, and a further original LP in production, due to be released within the next 12 months.
Mojo Jacket is also a unique cover band, with an extensive playlist ranging from acoustic, classic, modern, and pub rock, rock n roll,rockabilly, and blues through to reggae, funk, gypsy jazz, and hints of flamenco and pop influences.
Performance History Supported national and international acts such as: Ringo Starr, Boom Crash Opera, Johnny Clegg, Dave Grainey, Rick Astley, The Stranglers, Afro Moses, Daddy Cool, Eddie Would, and artists from bands such as Santana, Meatloaf, Billy Joel, Toto, and Mr Mister.
Mojo Jacket have toured Australia numerous times over the past 10 years while constantly expanding their fan base, performing gigs at small town pub venues all the way through to stadium shows, attended by up to 5,000 fans in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth.
The boys have performed at close to 200 weddings over the last 10 years with rave reviews from every audience.
Current goals and objectives In addition to working on their new album, Mojo Jacketplays every Sunday at the Temperance Hotel on Chapel Street, Prahran and is the venues resident band.
Mojo Jacket also actively perform at weddings, corporate events, birthday parties and charity fundraisers.
Ebany & Ben are great musicians with a huge repertoire of songs..so many different sounds & genres of music..extremely easy to work with - no fuss. They played our ceremony song exactly how we wanted it to be played with little notice..could not have been happier
They did a great job, the dance floor was packed and so many people commented afterwards about them. They also did a 2 piece setup during the ceremony which really added to the event. All lighting and PA equipment was supplied so there was not concerns about what would and wouldn't work with the venue.
Could not recommend this band any higher!! They were amazing. All of our guest were up dancing and enjoying themselves. We ended up leaving the play list to Mojo Jacket to organize and we received so many comments about our great taste in music with the songs that were being played. Ben from Mojo jacket even done some initial MC'ing for us by introducing the bridal party! Awesome group. Check them out on Facebook!
