About
This is Les - he’s the face behind every text, email, and phone call that helps get your event off the ground. Born in South Africa and emigrating to Australia in his early 30s, Les is a professional vocalist, percussionist/drummer and harmonica player who was born with the beats of Africa in his heart. A lifelong musician, Les started Look Sharp in 2016 as an acoustic and percussion duo, and it’s since grown into one of the most sought after duo/trio bands in Victoria!

We will learn any 4 songs of your choosing (ie first dance, aisle walk, parent dance, etc), provide all background music during our breaks and we'll even MC your day free of charge! Hell yes we can! Our unique combination of instruments along with our relentless energy gives us a very unique edge as a duo or trio, and we do numerous gigs where we tag-team with DJ's to keep the audience on the dancefloor into the early hours of the morning. People constantly comment on how "big" our sound is and that they love our infectuous energy. Feel free to come and see us play live at one of our regular venues to get a feel for what we do. Our social media pages are updated weekly with upcoming gigs. We hope to see you there!
Yes we do! Eventhough we are based in Melbourne, we have performed weddings all over Australia, from Hobart to Cairns, Perth to Sydney and more. Travel fees will be quoted based on your location, so please don't hesitate to ask us about it. We would happily play a wedding on the moon if we had a rocket (and a huge fuel budget).
That depends entirely on how much money you're willing to give us! Hahaha! But seriously, it will usually be between 150 to 180 minutes of live music, depending on which of our packages you choose.
We absolutely do! We always make sure that there isn't an awkward silent moment throughout your entire day (except when speeches are being done because that's just obnoxious). We have curated easy listening playlists for entrees/dinner time, and upbeat dance playlists to keep the dancefloor going when we're on a break. You are also more than welcome to share your own playlists with us and we will happily play it for you.
Yes we will! Depending on which of our packages you choose, we will give you between 2 and 4 song choices that we will happily learn for you. We've done everything from the Jurasic Park- to the Pokemon theme song, so almost anything goes (except singing in ancient Aramaic and Norwegian goat yodelling).
