Tarkine Strings creates elegant, personalised live music for weddings across North and North-West Tasmania. From intimate ceremonies to relaxed pre-dinner drinks and celebrations, our experienced musicians work with you to create the perfect atmosphere for your day.
Our flexible ensembles range from solo musicians through to duet, trio and string quartet, with combinations of violin, viola, cello, guitar, bass and vocals. We perform a wide range of classical and contemporary music and can adapt our ensemble and style as your wedding progresses.
Our wedding packages also include two special song requests. We create beautiful arrangements of your chosen songs for meaningful moments such as your processional, signing of the register or recessional.
Most importantly, we want your wedding music to feel effortless. From the planning beforehand to setting up and peforming on the day, we take care of the details so you can simply enjoy the moment.
Based in North West Tasmania, Tarkine Strings performs throughout Burnie, Devonport, Launceston, Cradle Mountain, Stanley and surrounding areas.

Tarryn is the Musical Director of Tarkine Strings and bring a wealth of experience as both violinist and violist. She received professional classical music training under scholarship at the prestigious Perth Modern School. Tarryn has performed at a wide range of private functions, including gallery openings, weddings and corporate events, showcasing her versatility and artistry.
