Tyler Hudson is a solo acoustic artist born and raised in Texas, now residing in Hobart, Tasmania, and makes his living performing music for a variety of events and venues around the country.

Tyler was a Top 24 Artist on Season 5 of The X Factor Australia.

Tyler was a Finalist at Tamworth Country Music Festival Toyota Starmaker.

He is an easy-to-listen to performer with several years worth of satisfied clientele, having performed at over 300 weddings to date.

Tyler will make every effort possible to create the atmosphere you are looking for, his most common compliment is “It’s nice to listen to music and not have to yell over the band.” Start the night off with live acoustic sets, then let Tyler mix in a few “DJ” sets of your favorite dance tunes when it’s time to party. About

Born in Texas in 1983, Tyler didn’t want to pursue the typical Texas oilfield life and left for Australia at the age of 18 in search of adventure. Whilst studying in Sydney, he met Libby and after a very short engagement the two were married on Tyler’s 21st birthday. Though they spent some time in the states, they decided Australia was the right place to raise their son Lyric, and their two girls, Loxley and Billie Jean.

FAQ

Do we need to provide any equipment?

Absolutely not! Ill bring everything we need including sound system, lights, and wireless microphone for speeches. The only thing i need for the reception is one power point, and I can use a battery powered system for the ceremony if needed.

Do you travel?

I've just recently relocated to Tasmania from Victoria where I performed an average of 35 weddings a year, so I'm dying to get around and see this beautiful island! I am based in Hobart but happy to travel anywhere in Tasmania, occasionally we need a small travel fee to cover fuel and accommodation, but I love getting out to new locations!

Can you perform any song we need?

If there's a song you want thats not in my repertoire (available on my website), I'm happy to try and learn it. I've only been stumped by a handful over the years. If you want Beyonce or Stevie Wonder, its important to remember I'll still sound like a middle aged white guy on an acoustic guitar playing it, but I'm happy to send you thru sample recordings to determine if it's the right vibe or not!

Tyler came from a recommendation from Madeline’s father and it was such a good recommendation! Interactions with Tyler were super chill and it was the same on the night! He performed at the cocktail hour before switching to DJ mode, picking some absolute bangers. If you’re still reading this you should definitely choose Tyler!

Tyler was amazing! I would highly recommend anyone looking for an awesome performer, DJ and MC for their wedding to get in contact with Tyler. From the very first interaction with Tyler I knew he was the person we were looking for. He made our day that much more enjoyable and hassle free. Tyler is such a great person and his charisma is infectious. From performing our walk down the aisle and first dance songs to DJ'ing the night away and having the dance floor buzzing he truly is a great all round gentleman. Tyler was an INCREDIBLE addition to our day and we felt so lucky to have him!! He learned our special songs for my walk down the aisle & our first dance, kept our day on track as MC & kept the vibes going all afternoon & into the night as guitarist/DJ. Right from when we booked him in he was super easy to work with, helpful & friendly, always quick with getting back to us about any questions. On the day he went above and beyond for us to make our wedding unforgettable. Tyler was such a great performer too, kept our guest very well entertained, and of course sounded absolutely amazing!

Tyler was the MVP at our wedding! He was so prompt and reliable making the whole process smooth and stress free. He nailed our brief perfectly creating the atmosphere we had discussed for our guests. We had a cocktail hour where Tyler played live acoustic covers which followed thru to dinner. After speeches we then transitioned into party hits which had all of our guests up on the dance floor the ENTIRE evening! Tyler was also our MC which he did so naturally that we had a few guests ask us how long we had been mates for as they thought he was a family friend. Honestly could not recommend enough!!
