Can I choose all the songs the band plays?
Lark Music
Lark Music’s repertoire includes a range of tunes from a variety of genres for people of all ages. We’re very attuned to what the crowd is feeling and pride ourselves on being able to choose the right songs at the right time for maximum impact and atmosphere.
From our extensive experience we find that a laid back, volume sensitive vibe is great for early in the evening, then we build the pace and intensity of the music by reading the crowd and making sure that dance floor is filled.
We are all about our performance reflecting your personality, so we are more than open to a few dance floor suggestions and of course we are happy to perform your bridal dance, entry and farewells songs.
We are more than happy to facilitate the playing of traditional cultural music – tarantella, zorba etc.
When will the band arrive and how long do they need to set up?

We have gotten our setup down to a fine art. We'll rock up with plenty of time, around one hour before our designated start time (venue load in dependant) and be ready to go 15mins before your booking start time.
We don't do big loud sound checks, so fret not!
How long will the band perform live for?
Lark Music
Our standard booking period is 5 hours, which can be extended. During a standard reception we play up to 4 sets of live music (up to 180mins of music). A standard event would see us play 1-2 shorter chilled sets, followed by 2-3 longer dance sets.The maximum time a set can go for is 1 hour. All set break music is covered so their is continuous atmosphere during the night.
Do Lark travel? If so, how much?

We are more than happy to travel anywhere... In fact, we love a road trip! Additional travel fees are applied for events taking place further than 50km from the nearest metro city.
We want to be the mixtape for your journey, whether it's in steamy North Queensland, Byron Bay, Bali, Thailand or the tropical South Pacific. Lark have specific package prices for OS weddings, but for all events close to home, we love an adventure, so feel free to give us a call to discuss!
Do you provide real DJ's for DJ bookings or just play a playlist?

We book real DJs. A DJ has real skill; they mix, they read the faces of every crowd member, they employ a range of fantastic dance moves designed to engage and enrapture any audience.
For a discounted package, we can most definitely let you play your own playlists (or even one of ours) through our sound system if that’s your vibe.

Lark Music are some of the best in the business. They worked with us to ensure the music for our wedding was exactly what we wanted. You are able to chose the style and type of music you want, number of band members and request special songs. They provided an acoustic due for the ceremony which was perfect, and later on a full six piece band had literally everyone of our 95 guests on the dance floor. Lark are awesome!

Everyone absolutely raved about Lark Music at our wedding. The songs they played made our night and they had the dance floor packed full! We didn't tell them too many songs to play and they read our crowd perfectly. We had a few surprise songs, one being straight after our first dance which unfortunately a small incident happened. The way Lark handled the situation with playing some background music and holding on the party tunes until everything was sorted out is a testament to their professionalism and they really know what they are doing! If you're after a fantastic party then don't go past Lark as your wedding band!! Highly recommend.
