Do we need to feed the band?

For weddings, yes please. We ask that each member of the band be provided a meal. 5 hours is a long time to rock out without topping up the energy supplies!

When will the band arrive and how long do you need to set up?

We have gotten our setup down to a fine art. We’ll get there with plenty of time (usually between one and two hours before our designated start time) and be ready to go when you say so.

We pride ourselves on bringing high-energy, captivating performances to fun-loving dance-floors and choosing the perfect songs to keep the party going. We are highly versatile and can tailor our sets to accommodate the changing tones of your day. From gentle and delicate ceremony accompaniment through dinner and into the wildest of dance-floors, we have you covered and guarantee a night to remember.

The final part of the night that everyone looks forward to (and where we really shine)- is the dancing! We have a genuine love for creating the perfect party atmosphere and providing high-energy performances of hit song after hit song.

Over time we have honed this skill and know how to keep the energy going, moving from song to song seamlessly and making experienced decisions about what to play, and when!

About

Jimmy originally hails from Jakarta, Indonesia where he grew up in a gifted musical family within the context of a culture rich in musical celebration and expression. He was signed to record company EMI in Indonesia, reaching number 1 on the charts. Jimmy was encouraged to bring his talent to Australia, an ideal location to hone his skills performing and recording cover songs at weddings, local clubs, and high-end corporate events. The JSB was formed in 2018.

FAQ

How do we book The Jimmy Sogalrey Band?

Firstly, get in touch to talk about your plans and find out if we have your date available. Once confirmd, to lock in a booking,we collect a 50% non-refundable deposit. The remaining 50% will collected 2 weeks before the event.

Do you travel for shows? And, if so, how much extra will it cost?

We are more than happy to travel anywhere… In fact, we love a road trip. Additional travel fees are applied for events taking place further than 1hr from metro Brisbane. We have specific package prices for OS weddings, but for all events close to home, we love an adventure, so feel free to give us a call to discuss.

Is your microphone wireless?

Sure is. Jimmy can’t help himself when he sees a dance floor calling his name!

Can I choose the songs the band plays?

Our setlist has a range of tunes from a variety of genres for people of all ages. We’re sensitive to what the crowd is feeling and pride ourselves on being able to choose the right songs at the right time for maximum effect. Typically, we find that a laid back, gentle vibe is ideal for early in the evening. We build the pace and intensity of the music at the right time and love to see the dance floor filled. We adapt our performance to reflect your personality and vibe so we are open to suggestions.

DO YOU OFFER DJ SERVICES BETWEEN SETS?

Yep, between band sets we provide DJ services as part of the package. If the band doesn’t play a specific song you really want feel free to mention that it be included in the DJ set. Keep this in mind while you decide which band scenario would suit you best.

WAS AMAZING! The service was outstanding, they provided such guidance and support through out the day and lead up to the day which really made a difference. Having Jimmy sang as I walked down the isle it was goosebumps all round and really magic, this just made such special moment. Jimmy also brought a vibe to our dance floor which brought it to life! We had so many people dancing, it was such a great experience to have Jimmy there and I could of not asked for better. He cared about our day as soon as we meet him and really wanted to make to something to remember however he could.
