Choons & Moovz is owned and operated by DJ/MC Tania Smith - an energetic, joyful soul who brings a spirited and fun-filled vibe to every event. Choons & Moovz also offer a collection of highly experienced and skilled DJs & MCs for your next wedding or event.
Choons & Moovz are in partnership with Him and Her Music, Mahalia Music Live and Leah Zweck Music to provide a full range of musicians; from acoustic duos to bands, strings and even additional instruments to your DJ package.
Tania has nearly 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry and knows exactly how to get the dancefloor started! She can read the room like no other, engages constantly with your guests and loves taking requests! Whether you’re after a formal evening or an upbeat celebration, Tania can make it happen with a customised set list to suit your event.

DJ Tania Smith, is a highly experienced and talented DJ and MC. DJ Tania has won two Brides Choice Awards and the 2021 ABIA Awards Best Wedding DJ in SA. Tania leads a team of DJs who are in their A-Game and absolutely love what they do with a passion. Just like Tania! Each entertainer has an impressive ability to get people on the dancefloor - whether they’re firmly in the ‘I don’t dance’ camp or not.
Dancing DJs
As DJs, Choons & Moovz philosophy is – if you’re not dancing, how can you expect anyone else to? You’ll find DJ Tash & DJ Tania bustin’ a move behind the decks and even sometimes out on the dancefloor. It’s all part of the fun and encouraging guests to participate. Because the DJs are busy mixing the tunes, you’ll briefly see them for short bursts of energy to get the party started on the dancefloor!

Whatever your preference, Choons & Moovz will work closely with you to determine what music you and your guests love to dance to.
Takes Requests
Not heard your favourite song all night? That’s okay. DJ Tania happily takes song requests and will expertly transition the current music into your requested tune. There are a few little tips; try to think of a song that other guests will love, you’d hate to be dancing by yourself if no one else likes it, and you may need to have a little patience as the request may be suitable for later in the evening.
Limitless Song Choice
When you request a song, there’s a really good chance that DJ Tania has it in her extensive database of songs. From old school RnB tunes or naughties hits to Motown classics or pop songs, Tania has a HUGE selection to choose from.
Premium Equipment
Tania and her husband Jay know a thing or two about top-notch equipment and ensures to use premium technology during her sets. This includes Evolve50s and Yamaha speakers, Chauvet lighting, high-quality Pioneer software (Rekordbox) and hardware and the latest MacBook Pro.
Adelaide & Wider SA
DJ Tania works at weddings, engagement parties, birthdays, corporate events and other social gatherings in and around Adelaide. She also performs further afield and travels around South Australia to be with guests to get the party started!

This multi-talented entertainer has been highly qualified in the industry for an extensive period and has learned how to best communicate with guests and other suppliers at your event and how to keep things running smoothly.
Lighting
Tania's husband, roadie, sound technician and biggest fan, Jay Smith loves playing with lights. Using the latest technology from Chauvet DJ, Jay can create the mood you desire for your event. He’ll set the scene using other lighting technology, whether you require uplighting, or projection of images set by EZGoBo (Chauvet DJ). Of course, they’ve got all the multi-colour effect LED lights that you'll need to bring the dance floor to life.

Tania Smith is your DJ for any occasion, from weddings to corporate events, from engagement soirées to birthday parties, from family fun days to kids shindigs. She has brought fun, joy, love and dancing to all of these celebrations

Tania has also had almost a decade of experience broadcasting on air at commercial radio stations, so she has no problems with communication and thrives on presentations and in the role at as the Master of Ceremony (MC).
Tania has an incredible ability to read a crowd and is well equipped to adapt music to suit the range of guests attending your wedding. She is prepared to play music to cater to all demographics and has a huge database that includes all music styles and genres.
From soul, RnB, swing, rock n roll, ballads, singalongs, pub classics, to club classics, dance, Top 40, pop music and even a little bit of country. There is something for everyone!
Absolutely! If you have a particular vibe, special songs or favourite genres that you wish to included, Tania can cater to your needs. She is an excellent communicator and can assist you with any ideas or musical inspirations.
However, if you wish to sit back and relax, just hand over the reins to Tania, then you won't have to worry about a thing.

YES! This is important to us, as it makes your guests feel included and special. Tania encourages engagement with your guests and loves involving everyone at your wedding.
However, please understand that not all requested songs are appropriate at weddings and Tania cannot promise that every request will be played. Tania also works closely with the couple to create a vision for the dancefloor and if the requests don't fit the bill, she will try to find an alternative for the guest that does.
YES! Tania is professionally trained and has had nearly 10 years of experience broadcasting in the commercial radio industry.
Her natural flair is welcoming and engaging, as guests connect and respond to her loving and joyful nature. Tania is trained to supply a polished and dynamic presentation to create your vision for your special day.
Tania will work with you closely to determine your desired delivery in the MC role; whether it’s professionalism and sincerity or pizazz and flair, or even some fun interaction. Tania has been known to involve your guests and is even prepared to play a few games if that tickles your fancy.
Tania's MC responsibilities are so much more than just talking on the microphone!
As the MC, Tania will manage the entire night for you. Starting from when guests arrive to the farewell.
Tania will work with you to create a seamless schedule and will work with all the other suppliers on the night to ensure everything ticks along like clockwork. Tania will literally be your personal assistant for the night.

It's important to choose something that ignites the room when the Bride & Groom enter and lifts everybody's energy getting ready to scream and shout. The song should also perfectly represent the newlyweds taste, personality and adventures they have shared together.
It's also important to have a DJ & MC that time the annoucement perfectly with the peak of the song (e.g. the cresendo or chorus).
