I have a blog that describes the difference between normal commercial makeup and professional makeup....

https://makeoversaust.com.au/makeup-tips/difference-professional-makeup-vs-commercial-makeup

In regards to professional makeup versus professional Bridal makeup,

Bridal makeup needs to be classic. Trends are best Avoided for Bridal, so it does not date and look old in the wedding photos.

Bridal makeup also needs to look good both in photos and in person. As they will be seen by all their guests in person.

Professional makeup for other purposes often also have to adhere to the Bridal looks, but some do not. For example, Photographic makeup really only needs to look good in photos.  While makeup for a charity ball, or a birthday party can be super 'On trend' instead of staying classic.

Apart from that, all professional makeup needs to look good in photos, have good staying power and enhance the wearer's features.  It is also Very dependant on the client.

There really should be no difference.  A makeup professional should apply professional makeup whether they're working on a commercial project, a bride or for a formal makeup.

Generally, there's the view that Bridal makeup should be softer and more natural, but that's only if the Bride requests it.  I've done some gorgeous dramatic makeup designs on Brides who love wearing striking makeup and I've done designs where my Brides just want their skin perfected and minimal eyes to look as natural as possible.

As professional makeup artist will apply professional makeup.  Full stop!

Have a wonderful wedding,

There is no difference between Professional Makeup and Bridal Makeup as they are both using the same techniques and

professional products to get the desired look for the client / bride to ensure a long lasting result for the duration of the day and night. The only difference may be on the style of makeup required for the particular event or look you are after. Our prices do not vary either for bridal or special occasion makeup so there is no price increase for a wedding as opposed to any other event. We do everything we can for our brides to get the look and longevity of the makeup application.

In essesnce, nothing.  A professional Makeup service is customised for the clients needs based on what she's wanting to achieve. If she is wanting a particular style (that is more romantic/fresh/bridal) then that's what we give her. If she is wanting a vintage inspired look, or catwalk glamour, then that's what we give her. The service/skill and attention we offer is fundamentally the same to all our clients. All our makeup brands and techniques offer long wearing results which suits all applications. For this reason, we don't charge extra for brides; just because your're getting married. In fact it often works out more affordable than service for 1 person because usually a bridal party of 3+ people also getting makeup reducing your rates!

Hey :) to be honest... nothing! Bridal makeup is personalised and tailored to suit whatever look you desire to feel beautiful on your special day! Professional makeup and bridal makeup is exactly the same. Not every bride wants natural makeup it all depends on each individual style :) both professional and bride makeup use high quality products and are set to last all day :)
