I've never gotten a spray tan before... should I try it a few times before the wedding?

Or do you have any other ideas or suggestions?

Yes. Definitely recommend you try a few spray tans until you find the perfect colour for you.

Definitely try out your spray tanning well ahead of the wedding and make sure you organise the same person to do the spray tan the week of the wedding. Additionally, it is helpful to be tanned for your makeup trial to ensure the color match on your face is correct for the actual wedding day. Be careful when getting tanned to not have any strap marks and ensure the color is even so you low glowing on your wedding day.

Hi Ruby,

Definitely  give it a go before hand and try a couple of different brands as some throw off more green tones and others orange.  Also depending on your skin colour if your naturally fair or pale skinned sometimes it is best just to embrace it and work with rather than against it.  If on the other hand you have an olive complexion a light tan is very complimenting :)

Absolutely I would try at least twice before the day, and if possible do a tan and makeup trail together so you can see how it looks.

Hi Ruby would absolutely recommend trying a few spray tans before the big day. Make sure the application is perfect and so is the colour. I always recommend getting a spray tan two days before your wedding day. It is also a great idea to have your makeup trial once you have had the spray tan just so your makeup artist can colour match you correctly.

Hi Ruby, if you are wanting a spray tan for your wedding day to have a bit more colour than usual then it is a good idea to try it a week or two before your wedding. If you like it then have it applied at least three days before your wedding. One very important point to remember is that a spray tan will only add colour to your skin. It won't even out strap marks or very uneven coloured skin. If this is why you are wanting a spray tan then the best thing to do is have the makeup artist airbrush your chest area and/or back to even out those strap marks or skin colour.

Hello Ruby,

I highly recommend you try a spray tan a few times before the wedding to find the best spray tanner and the best colour for you as well! Once you find the perfect spray tanner book in with them - not someone else in the salon as they could do the job differently - as everyone has a slightly different style. Once you find the perfect tanner - book a session 2 days before your makeup and hair trial - this way you will see the whole look together, and your makeup artist can check if the colour blends nicely up your neck when your hair goes up!

Hi Ruby

I have always suggested a spray tan trial once or twice prior to a wedding so you know how the tan looks and if the colour is right for you.

Prior to the wedding once you have decided that is what you want I would suggest if you want a natural look, perhaps have the tan 2 - 3 days prior and if you want to be dark then have it the day before.

When you do have a spray tan follow the after care directions from the person applying it as the more you look after the tan, the better it will look on the day.

Hello Ruby and thank you for this questions. We have come across so many bad spray tans and unhappy brides. I always strongly recommend to try before you buy. More so in regards to your wedding. So YES go and try as many places as you need to find the one which "tans you" so you feel like the best version of yourself.

Hi Ruby. Definitely agree with the other ladies. Trial for spray tan is very important and make sure you have the same professional to do your spray tan for your wedding. :)
