I have really oily skin, how can I ensure I stay matte well after my make up is done?

Is there any magical setting spray I can buy and test in the lead up to the wedding?

Its really important to have the perfect skin on your big day! That is why we like to do a trial and find a specific foundation that suits your skin and always finish with a powder to take any excess residue of the skin. Everyone has different skin so their is no one answer, its all about us personalizing you and your skin tone and coming up with the perfect look and blend to suit you.

If you are oily, most of the time it is because your skin is lacking moisture , so it over compensates and creates extra oils. So I would look more at your skin care maybe apply a rosehip oil of a night to sleep with and see if you can repair the skin prior to the wedding day. Otherwise, the Makeup Artist can just use products such as matte primers etc to try and have a nice finish that will have a staying effect.

You can get a waterproof or other foundations that stops oiliness, plus a primer for oily skin. Also a good powder you can use your self in between.

We use a variety of different methods to provide a long lasting, matte result, starting with mattifying primers, silicone airbrush makeup or oil free foundations are highly effective, and matt finishing sprays ontop of high quality HD setting powders. At your trial, we can use these products so you can see how effective this is for you, and if you want to buy them to use before the day we will write down a list of our products that we recommend you can get. We can also give you some loose powder to take with you (in a snap lock bag) to keep the shine at bay. Oil can be controlled on the skin, but adrenaline can also make brides shine, so it's always recommended that you take some powder with you in your touch up kit.

Hi there. There are setting sprays on the market but I find that I don't need them with the makeup I use. It is a silicone based waterproof airbrush or traditional make up and can last up to 18 hours depending on your skin. There is also a water based one which tends to be even more matte but not waterproof, only water resistant and I like the other better. I use a matte primer and just a little HD powder for a quick touch up for any shiny areas if necessary is all that is usually required. I love the results and so do my brides.. If you would like more information please don't hesitate to contact me. :) Tanya

I use a silicone (waterproof) foundation which is very long lasting. Just buy a touch up compact powder for touch ups during the day/night. Once the trial is done you can give me feedback as to how shiney you got then i will make sure i powder enough when i leave :)
