About

Skye's love for makeup began at the ripe age of 14 and has continued to flourish since. She believes talent and skill, although important, will only get you so far in the industry. The rest is an unwavering dedication and passion for the craft. It is this same passion that has evolved Skye into the artist she is today. Skye is located from a Edithvale based hair salon, 'Straight to Harven'. However, she travels across Melbourne for her bridal parties, hens and group bookings.

Do you offer Bridal Trails?

Yes! In fact they are highly encouraged. Bridal trials are held in the salon in Mornington.

We will go over all details for the day as well as trial your makeup. This will give you peace of mind for the day and also allow for any changes if required!

When should I book my trial?

I recommend booking your bridal trial 6-8 weeks prior to the wedding day.

Are you mobile?

Makeup by Skye Mazalin offers a mobile service for groups of 4 or more. This includes bridal and special occasion makeup. Get in contact at makeupbyskyemazalin@gmail.com for a travel quote.

what information do you need for a bridal enquiry?

for all bridal enquries, an email must be sent to makeupbyskyemazalin@gmail.com with the following information.

Skye was an absolute delight to work with. Having her there with me and the girls in the morning was such a vibe! She is so great to work with and really took the time to get to know my face and skin type and we worked together to see what would work best. I loved my makeup and it lasted all night! As a bride from Scotland eloping in Melbourne, the stress of finding someone to glam me and my bridesmaids on my big day was real. After stalking Skye’s instagram, her style was exactly what I was looking for. She was so easy to communicate with and so accommodating considering our time difference! The trial was so much fun and not only did she listen to my vision - “me but better” but we got along so well! Skye was absolutely incredible! From the very beginning she was responsive and nothing was too much of a hassle. She was such a vibe on the wedding morning, we all had so much fun! My makeup and my bridesmaids makeup on the day was STUNNING everyone commented on how beautiful my skin looked, the makeup did not budge all night and looked just as perfect at the end of the night as it did when it was applied. 100% recommend Skye to any future bride- you will not be disappointed.

Skye was AMAZING! She really took the time to sit with me and listen to what I had in mind for my inspo. She gave me her advice on what would suit my skin and face. She took the time to explain every step of the way and on the day was such a joy to have there with us. Skye is so incredibly talented and I was blown away with how well my make up lasted! What's better - fake lashes or eyelash extensions?

Hi! Wondering what to do with my lashes for my wedding. Should I get eyelash extensions, or should I ask for false individual lashes? Is there a preference from a makeup artist's perspective too?

Makeup by Skye Mazalin

I definitely prefer my brides to have customised individual lashes. Depending on the desired look, we can customise the eye shape with a false lash. However, if you come in with extensions already on, the eye shape can't be changed.
