Do I need to come to your for my appointment?

Chandelle MUA is a 100% mobile service, so there's no need to get yourself up and organised to go anywhere! The artist conveniently comes to you.

Do I have to make a deposit?

A 30% deposit is required upon making your appointment. It acts as a booking fee to secure your booking with Chandelle MUA. The remainder of your payment is to be settled prior to the appointment day.

Is it true that I need to have a makeup trial? And if I have one, what should I do to prepare?

Though a trial isn’t necessary, it is recommended to ensure that everything runs smoothly on your big day – with no surprises! A trial is a great opportunity to meet and get to know the artist, as well as voicing your preferences and needs. You also get to treat it as a ‘practice run’ by wearing makeup/hair that you may not usually experience, get a feel for any maintenance that may be required as well as mentioning adjustments to the artist that you would like.

To prepare for your trial, please bring any reference photos of makeup/hair that you like (of yourself or other people). I also recommend bringing along fabric swatches, photos of bouquets/jewellery/hair pieces, even a colour palette for the day. Please also ensure that your hair has been washed the day before, and that your face is clean without any product (this includes moisturiser).

What is the best style of makeup for me?

No one person is the same with style, just like with clothes!

This means working closely with you so that we can discuss what it is you're looking for, which will then be tailored to suit and accentuate your features. Chandelle did the makeup for my bridesmaids, tailoring the service to each ‘maids preference and really understanding their preferences. She was extremely professional and a lot of fun to have on the morning. And of course, the makeup stayed on all night and looked amazing.

Is it normal to have two make up artists and two hairstylists for five people?

Hi. Wondering whether it's normal to have two make up artists and two hairdressers for a wedding party of 5 people? Thanks.

It really depends on the situation. I always recommend having a separate makeup artist and hair stylist, no matter the size of the bridal party to ensure everything runs smoothly. Two of each will ensure a faster finish closer to the start time, but if you're not worried about that then one of each shouldn't be a problem.

What's the best way to reduce bags under my eyes?

I had some photos taken and was shocked at how bad the bags are under my eyes! Will makeup be enough to cover these up for my wedding? What else can I do before the day?

The best way I can think of is to incorporate an eye cream with vitamin c or caffeine (helps with puffiness too). Your MUA on the day will be able to assist more with covering if necessary ?? best of luck!
