Tallora earnt her Diploma under the teachings of Oscar Winning makeup artist, Peter Frampton in 2002. She's also certified in Hairstyling, Beauty Therapy, Lash extensions, Training + Assessment, Fashion and Costume. She's been a makeup trainer since 2007 and continues to teach other new artists her craft. Mobile Make-Overs was born in 2008 to offer clients the best possible stylists she can find (and she is super picky!) but also to help good artists get paid work. A win win for all! :)

All our artists and stylists are trained in their field and have been hand picked by Tallora.
You can either pay a $85 tentative deposit and book in a trial. This $85 is redeemable on your trial and holds your date until your trial, then if you are happy with the trial and want to secure the date, we will arrange your 40% deposit. Alternatively you can pay your 40% deposit up front if you don’t want a trial.
We offer direct transfer, or cash options. We also now have credit card fascilities and PayPal.
We understand life happens and things may change, so we try to be as flexible as possible. If you need to change the date, we just transfer all your details and payments to the new date. If your stylists are not available on the new date, we will work to arrange new stylists for you. If you need to cancel, we have refund policies in place. Cancellations before 6 months of the wedding date are entitled to a refund of 80% of their deposit. Cancellations after 6 months and before 3 months are entitled to a refund of 40% of their deposit. Any cancellations made within 3 months of the wedding date are not entitled to a deposit refund. Cancellation within 2 weeks of the wedding date are not entitled to any refund.
This is where the power of having a team is a benefit. Life happens, so if your artist is unable to fulfill their requirement, we will do every thing possible to make sure you have a replacement artist.
We come prepared with everything we need to make you look amazing. All you need to do is have a clean and moisturized face for makeup application, and wash your hair the day before, so it is dry and with no product for hair styling. If your hair gets really oily looking, really fast, wash your hair that morning and dry thoroughly. If your hair is ultra curly/frizzy/ringlets, you may want to straighten it before hand, but consult your stylist first.
You have 3 options; We do recommend that you bring a touch up lippy and possibly face powder compact for touch ups during the event. If you already have products that you like, bring them along. OR at your trial, you can order any products that you like, so you have the exact same colors. Lip products range from $25-$40, Foundations from $40-$80 and Powders from $30-$60.
Your 3rd option is, you can book us for a return touchup service. We come to your photography, ceremony, or reception location and touch up all hair and makeups for you. This service starts at as little as just $85!
Trials are not compulsory at all and you can book them any time you are ready really. The sooner you can lock in your artist, the more peace of mind you have. Wedding season is Sept thru Nov and Jan thru April, these months are popular, so if your wedding is in any one of these months, book early so you don’t miss out. Most of our brides have their trial around 6 months prior.
No, we are happy to do one person, or multiple. No job is too small.
We can work with extensions and apply the temporary clip ins, although we do not supply them and we do not supply or apply the permanent hair extensions. Best to organize those with your hairdresser first.
Have a shower the night before your tan, exfoliate and moisturize. Then the morning of your tan, have another shower, but do NOT moisturize or use deodorant. Wear loose-ish clothing. After your tan, wait the adequate amount of time before showering again, then moisturize. Perfect tan.
If you try a new facial with new products, do a trial a minimum of 2 months before, just in case you react, or if it is a deep cleansing facial, then you have time for your skin to recover.
Nowhere that we are aware of so far. We have travelled as far as Victor Harbour, to Port Augusta, to Sydney, to Brisbane, to Vancouver and LA.
Of course you can. We don’t mind at all.
Depends if your makeup is pan-chromatic and suitable for photography. Most commercial lines are not suitable and you run the risk of looking pasty, patchy or flat in your photos and we want you to look amazing.
Definitely not, as far as we know. We love our animals and try to ensure to the best of our ability to never use any products that test on animals or use animal by-products. No emu oil here! We have even written a blog about it!
That can depend on you, your photographer and how long it takes you to get to your ceremony location. We can start as early as you need us to. As a guide, we suggest a finish time of around 1.5-2hrs before your ceremony time.

If you have never had eye lash extentions before, I would say no, do not get them. We include temporary false lashes within our makeup packages, so for us, lash extentions are not nessesary. However we are not opposed to our clients having a good, well balanced set of lash extentions. If done well, they can really enhance the eyes and look beautiful. Saying that though, we highly recommend do NOT choose crazy thick lashes or lashes that are too long for your face (Avoid strong trends, especially for weddings). We have seen over top (on trend) styles that simply look ridiculous, they hide the eyes, do not suit the face or eye shape and completely take over the face all while making the eyes look tiny. If you have a good lash tech who understands your eye and face shape and can do lashes fit for purpose, and you have tried them before, then lash extentions will be a lovely long lasting choice. If not, just get your makeup artist to apply the temporary lashes. You will still look awesome and can remove them at the end of the night without issues. We also agree with Leonie's comment too.
When's the best time to have a hair and makeup trial?
Wondering how far out before the wedding is best, but also, would like to use the trial to help me choose my suppliers.

It depends how much you trust your artist. If you have used your chosen artist before and you are comfortable confirming the wedding day before your trial, then you can have it anywhere from when you book in, to a couple of weeks out (depending on how busy your artist gets)
If you have never met or used the artist, I recommend having your trial as early as you can, so you can confirm them as early as you can by sorting out deposits etc.
If you have a trial a few weeks out and do not like the trial, you are left frantically looking for a new artist last minute and this can be very stressful and lead to the possibility of not being able to find a good artist who is available. So, give yourself enough time.
We generally recommend booking in as early as you can, especially if your wedding is in one of the big wedding months. Also, Covid Catch ups are a thing, and that means there are more couples than usual looking to book their weddings in, so good wedding service providers are booking faster than usual at the moment.
What's a rough timeline for hair and makeup on the day?
Hi there. Would love a rough timing guide for my hair and makeup. I've got 4 bridesmaids, plus me, and my mum. We are staying at a hotel nearby the wedding venue and the ceremony starts at 5pm. Thank you!

Hi, I always recommend having your hair and makeup all completed by arund 2hrs before your ceremony, to give you some just in case time, photo time and getting dressed time. That way you are not rushed, or stressed for time.
The average time for makeup application is around 45minutes per person
Upstyling hair around 1hr
Half upstyled hair around 45minutes and
Downstyling generally takes around 30mintues.
These are all ball-park rough figures, as the length, thickness, extentions, specific styles and the stylist's techniques can all affect the times.
The number of stylists will also affect the time frame needed.
