We recommend starting the floral planning process at least 8 to 12 months before your event, especially during peak wedding and event seasons and if you're after specific flowers, a customised design, or are getting married during peak season.
This gives us plenty of time to:
If you're working with a shorter timeline — don’t worry! We’ll always do our best to accommodate you and create something beautiful with what’s available.
6-12 months is a great time frame, but for some weddings a month out is fine. It depends on the florist you want and whether they are booked out or not and how many flowers you want for you special day!
Hello, 4 to months in advance is enough time for flowers.
Ideally you should secure your wedding florist ASAP to make sure your date is available and not already booked. Dates can be booked up to 12 months ahead, so get in early! A lead time of at least 3-4 months for planning and designing would be beneficial. That way there is plenty of time to discuss designs and accomodate for changes, and to prepare a proper proposal.
Hope this helps!
You should book your wedding florist as soon as you booked your venue and have an idea about number of guests and bridal party.
You should book your wedding florist 8 to 12 months in advance, especially if your wedding falls during peak season (typically spring through early fall or around holidays). High-demand florists can get booked up quickly, so the earlier you secure your date, the better—particularly if you have a specific style or vendor in mind.
Here’s a quick timeline guide:
Somewhere around 6 months is a good place to start. If you dont have this much time until the wedding then there are some things to keep in mind. Most florists need to give about 6 weeks notice to their growers and wholesalers to ensure colours and varieties required. It can take a couple of weeks or more for a quote to be sent and for everything to be decided and finalised prior to this. You will need to have chosen your colour scheme, theme and dresses so we are able to match colours and theme. If you require vases or other decorations we will need time to source these also.
My advise is to start planning flowers around 6 months but if you are already past that time it can be done in 2 - 3 months but you will need to be quick to make choices and willing to compromise.
I would aim for 4 to 12 months in oganiaing flowers for your wedding day, as some wedding florist are booked out a year in advance, I recomend 5 months at least so the florist can effectively oganise with farmers wholesale supplies your flowers and other details you require of your florist
Hi
we suggest 6 -12 months prior to the date. Popular months book out early so to avid extra stress we suggest book early as you can .

Great question! Since I work with high-quality silk flowers, we have a bit more flexibility compared to fresh florals, which is a big advantage. However, I still recommend organising your wedding flowers at least 3 to 6 months in advance. This allows us enough time to finalise your design, source any specific blooms or colours you love, and make sure everything is perfect for your big day.
If your wedding is during a peak season or you have a very specific vision, getting started earlier is always better—it helps secure your preferred date and gives us time to create something truly beautiful and custom just for you!
