Can you do a combo silk and fresh floral crown?

I've been thinking of making a silk flower crown with the addition of a few favorite fresh flowers. Has anyone ever done this?

Anything is possible.

We often find summer weddings requesting silk flowers with fresh greenery as it will both last better in the heat of the day then some of the more fragile flowers and will last forever, with greenery drying really well. This is something that can be incoporated into Flower Crowns or your own version of a fresh and silk combo can be created.

Yes  silk & freshblend well, I have often worked with both,  particularly  when some flowers of choice are not in season.  these days the silk are so cleverly made it's hard to tell the difference.

It's very special to add something from say, your Mothers wedding to add to your hair piece.

This is done a lot and is not hard to do with fresh and silk and dried flowers. Same techiques can be applied generally although I would stay away from fragile fresh flowers or those that wilt easily.

There is a lovely selection of artificial flowers but i have used fresh gypsophlia amongst them to give an even more natural look. It does dry afterwards so can still be worn again at a later date.

Yes! Anthing goes these days and a combintion can be a great way to go. Just make sure you're getting really good quality silks, so they blend in nicely. Good luck!
