OVERVIEW
What You’ll Love About Working with The Posy Yard For Your Melbourne Wedding:
With The Posy Yard, your wedding flowers are designed around what is genuinely at its best for your date. Their team uses your Pinterest board as an inspiration rather than a shopping list, guiding you through colour, style, flower choices, and what will work beautifully in your space. Expect honest advice, considered design, and florals that feel fresh, romantic, and a little bit bold.
Couples can choose from full-service wedding florals, with bespoke packages starting from $4,000, or à la carte wedding flower packages with no minimum spend. Full-service couples are guided from enquiry through to proposal, venue walk-through, delivery, set-up, and pack-down. For smaller weddings, elopements, and registry celebrations, the à la carte menu lets you choose pieces such as bridal bouquets, buttonholes, table arrangements, and ceremony flowers, then leave the seasonal design to The Posy Yard.

Our minimum for a full-service wedding package is $4,000. This covers flowers, design, delivery, set-up and pack-down — plus all the planning and consultation that goes into the lead-up.
If you're working with a smaller budget, our à la carte wedding menu is worth a look — it's a curated selection of our favourite pieces, without the full-service investment, and also includes mixed bulk flower buckets if you're more of a DIY-bride.

Your proposal is broken into three areas: personal items (bridal bouquet, buttonholes, and so on), labour and delivery, and on-site costs (set-up and pack-down).
Labour is the one that often surprises people. In the week before your wedding there are hours of work that aren't visible on the day — conditioning stems, coordinating with your venue, sourcing additional blooms, organising the team. We price this separately so you have full visibility into where your investment goes.
You're welcome to share flowers you love — or ones you'd rather avoid. We can't guarantee availability, since we design around what's genuinely in season for your date. If you send us references, we'll use them as a guide to the feeling you're after, not a shopping list.
Our seasonal cut flower guide is a good place to start if you're still in the planning stages.

Full-service means we handle everything — design, sourcing, delivery, set-up and pack-down — with one wedding per day so your flowers get our complete attention. It includes a bespoke design and colour palette, a venue walk-through, regular check-ins as plans evolve, and an experienced team on the day.
Typical inclusions:
A useful starting point is 10–15% of your total wedding budget, though couples investing in larger installations often go higher.
Most of our full-service couples spend between $4,500 and $8,000, depending on the scope — personals for the bridal party, a ceremony focal point, and reception arrangements as a starting guide. We'll always be clear about what's possible at your budget before you commit to anything.
Most of what we use is grown on our farm in the Macedon Ranges. When we need more, we source from other Victorian flower farms first. Imported flowers are occasionally used to supplement a design, but that's the exception rather than the rule.
If you're 12 months or more out, you're welcome to visit the farm by appointment to see what's growing. Use the contact form on our website to book a time.
Yes — most of our weddings are in the Macedon Ranges, Melbourne, and the Yarra Valley, but we work further afield too. Travel and delivery fees are factored into your proposal transparently. We base our travel and delivery fees on a central location in Preston, Melbourne - the original home of The Posy Yard - to make things easier, though we still have a local colleague who can help coordinate orders for pick up if required.
