Why purchase on line and miss out on tryng on gowns, budget can play a part in purchasing your gown online, though this doesn't work for many Brides.  Fabric, Laces, shape and you should have fun trying on gowns with you friends around.

Here at Bernice fashions we are not just selling the gown we are also qualified dressmakers.  Everyone deserves a dress that celebrates your style, beauty to create lifelong memories

Opposite to what many have answered. I believe you can buy a wedding dress online. I did purchase my own online many years ago and today I have own and design for a luxury brand V. SOUZ,  where I sell online for brides that are overseas and also in studio for brides that are in Sydney. I have dresses made in Australia, China and Italy to allow the price to be flexible for the bride. All my dresses are made with highest quality materials and the ones made in Italy only uses exquisite haute couture fabrics, Italian Silk, European and French Lace and Swarovski Crystals. My recommendation to you is if you are shopping online, know what you want or buy from a supplier before so you can talk to and explain exactly what your needs are and that they will take time developing your dress with you. Check the authenticity of the website or supplier. Other than that you will be fine, just avoid shopping for a very cheap dress online from a website you do not know and that you can’t have a consultation. The best thing I did in my life was to buy mine online it was exactly what I needed and I could not buy on the shops they didn’t have anything I liked and prices was not so fair. As a graduate Fashion Designer from Whitehouse and with 5 years of experience as a designer in Hollywood America and Australia I know quality very well and what makes a bride feel special. If you would like a free consultation please contact me or just help let me know. Xxx Vanessa

Apart from the unknown quality of buying any gown online you miss out on the whole experience of having professionals with you every step of the way. You miss out on expert advice and the peace of mind of a reputable business.

When buying a wedding dress with us you’re not only getting a dress you’re getting expert advice, guarantee and also peace of mind that your dress will be great quality, it will arrive in time and it is exactly what you ordered.

One word "disaster". Buying online is not ideal. You don't know what you are actually getting. A photo can be taken off anywhere and not depict the gown you are actually getting. The quality is never want you are wanting and fit is awkward and usally doesn't fit a real girl.

I have dealt with many horror stories of brides being mislead and not getting what they think they are ordering. After paying money for their online dress and getting disapointed, brides have to fork out money for alot of alterations to fix their online dress or buy a new dress all together. So when they are buying online to save money they are having to spend thousands more then budgeted.

Buying in a bridal shop is worth it, you get to share the experience with your bridal team and know exactly what you are getting and feel reassured that everything is in an experienced consultants hands.

Your wedding dress is like no other piece of clothing you will ever buy.  It needs to fit perfectly, the shape, fabric and style needs to suit your body shape.  You want to touch and feel it and make sure it suits your body perfectly.  You cant do that if you order it online.  The only way you can make ther perfect decision is to go into a bridal showroom.

Buying your Gown online without trying it on or seeing it in person is never a good idea, I have a lady who purchased her gown online and am having to do a major alteration as it was too big on her also there was a tear on one of the Tulle layers so i've had to unpick the whole dress , it's cost the bride to be more money on tulle fabric.

It is not advised to purchase a wedding gown online as you will never know how the fit is exactly. It's always good to try on a wedding gown or sample, to prevent spending more money on alterations afterwards. In the case that a wedding gown is too small, that will cause more of an issue to alter your gown. Plus, majority of the times, a gown that you love just from looking at it, you may not like it as much once you try it on, or vice versa, you may try on a gown that you normally don't think you'll like and completely be in love with the gown!
