I honestly was dreading the wedding dress shopping process, but the staff at Fairytales made it more than just tolerable - they made it enjoyable! They were very helpful and knowledgeable in giving their thoughts and opinions on cuts/styles/etc. if you were interested, but without being pushy about it. I purchased my beautiful moscato Stella York dress 7012 on my first ever visit, which I did not expect to do at all, and went ahead with getting the alterations here too, which was super convenient in addition to being reasonably priced.

This was the third shop we went to. I had pulled a few off the shelf when Tina, the consultant, came and asked what I wanted. After describing she said “be back in a second.” She came back and showed me this dress and I knew immediately it was the one. I remember saying it was like she went inside my head and saw what I couldn’t even explain. After trying a few dresses I could not stop thinking about this one. I became teary thinking that we had found the perfect dress to marry the man of my dreams.

The Nunawading location has a huge selection of beautiful dresses. My sales consultant was pleasant and helpful, and helped me find a dress fairly quickly that fit within budget just 2 months before the wedding. The alterations experience however was a bit off. My first fitting went normal enough; had all my measurements taken and the dress pinned up in spots where it needed altering (mainly to take the dress in). At the follow-up fitting, the dress couldn't fit - the zip could only be pulled up half way. The dress originally was a bit loose fitting; it was worrying it ended up not being able to fit. In the end they said they can fix it by letting it out about ~1 inch. Even that was still a struggle to zip up. On the up side, once everything managed to be zipped up, the dress did looked stunning.

I booked in with Fairytales with absolutely no intention of finding the one. I booked for a fitting there purely to allow my grandmother to attend and share the experience with me. The staff know what styles suit brides to be, as I had specifically said I did not want anything strapless. After being asked if I’d be willing to try something on that the staff member thought I’d suit, I fell in love with… a strapless dress. Absolutely stunning and supportive, and for a reasonable price! The store also provides decent payment plans where you can determine how much you pay in the lead up to the wedding, allowing you to chip away at the payments rather than a large lump sum.
