Do caterers let you taste their food before you book them?

Just wondering if it's standard to taste test a caterers cooking before you hire them. The food is SO important for my wedding and while the people I've been looking at LOOK good, how can I know they TASTE good too?

As pizza caterers, there is often an opportunity for our potential clients to find us out and about at a festival. They often ask where we will be and make a point of coming and trying the pizza.

We specialise in grazing tables which usually consists of speciality cheeses and cured meats. We are very happy to design a mini platter to offer the bride and groom to try out the products they use.

They should. We organise tastings if requested or invite people to our next food truck event where we can have some goodies on board.

Yes most definitely food tastings are available. The price can be complimentary or a cost only charge depending on the guests numbers at the tasting and subject to the intended guests numbers at the wedding!

Hi

The tastings are no problem - the time and place can be arranged on request - there is a fee for tastings depending on the type of tasting and possible menu.  The cost will be per person.

Absolutely we at Hot Coals Catering agree with you! This is why we run monthly Tasting Nights where people get to come to our beautiful venue in Hurstbridge, meet the team, see how we cook and present the food, then taste it! We make these events like a bit of a casual cocktail party so we have a mix of clients, potential customers and suppliers eattending each one! We try to incorporate some items from each customer's quotes, plus other items they may not have considered!

Hi Absolutely, great caterers will invite you in for a food tasting and you will get to sample the menu, both food and wines.  You should be able to then with the help and guidance of the Chef create the menu you are looking for.
