Dear Prudence is a Sydney based boutique catering company offering local, seasonal menus for events, work and entertaining situations alike. Catering to clients in the contemporary art, fashion and media sectors our ethos is honest, loving and respectful to the classic while adventuring into the modern style.
Our experience in catered events range from weddings, art galleries receptions and dinners, music events and festivals, fashion photos shoots and TVC’s, fundraisers and intimate private dinners. You will find us equally at ease producing an intimate dinner for ten as we are with affairs ranging into the hundreds. A rare find indeed, made possible through the wide range of experiences we have had in meeting the varying needs of our clients.
Our clients adore the quality and flavours of our food, and they rave about our service staff being friendly and ever present when needed, while somehow melting into the background, providing seamless service that reflects radiantly on the host and hostess.
Our chef Prue is a home-grown locally-based chef with an edge. As she grew up in Bondi her passion for cooking was formed leading her to into a career which has spanned more than a decade. Her life-style is driven by food trending research adding a global twist to her menus influenced specially by Mediterranean and Middle-Eastern cuisines.
Living and working in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs Prue was the purveyor of a successful Potts point cafe Nest and wrote several recipes for renowned food publications before establishing Dear Prudence.
