I have been working with food and hospitality for the last 25 years. From running restaurants in New Zealand, Sri Lanka and now doing Catering for Weddings here in Byron Bay and surroundings with Crusta for the last 16 years. I love the close relationship with our local farmers, growers and food industry in the Northern Rivers. I am passionate about creating authentic and delicious food for your special day and really enjoy being part of this connecting and meaningful day.

Daniel and the Crusa team catered to our 100 guest wedding at Bangalow and were so amazing! They are so professional and laid back at the same time. The pizzas and charcuterie board was amazing and our guests kept coming up to us to say how good the food was! The team also catered for dietary requirements! The bar staff were amazing and professional. We are so grateful to have them for our wedding and would recommend them to everyone!

We couldn’t recommend them more! The food at our wedding was absolutely amazing. The platters were beautifully presented and our guests loved them. the pizzas were delicious! Everything was organised so well, and the quality of the food was incredible. We had so many people comment on how good the food was, and we couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out. We had a cocktail style wedding with 105 guests and every single one of them RAVED about the food. Even the ones who I know would be brutally honest with their opinions. We did the shared med platter table, two entrees (lemon myrtle skewers & broad bean ricotta bruschetta 🤤), pizzas and a dessert table with multiple different cakes. We also organised our bar/wait staff through them and they were fantastic. Really brought the vibes and impeccable service, again, even our guests noted how fabulous they were. Daniel and his team were a breeze to deal with and I couldn’t recommend them more highly. I wish I had photos but still waiting for photographer, but I’m drooling just reminiscing !!

Daniel and the team at crusta were the perfect caterers for our wedding at Stradbroke island. We knew we wanted woodfired pizzas for our reception and checked with some local pizza places. Thank goodness they were booked out because then we found crusta and fell in love with their menu and vibe. Daniel was so accommodating in making our vision come to life and was happy to travel to straddie. It was so important for us to have vendors who were relaxed and Daniel from the outset was so easy to work with and genuinely excited to be part of our day. All our guests commented on how incredible the pizzas were (particularly the mushroom and dessert pizzas). Every one left the night feeling full and wanted crusta’s details for future events. We would recommend crusta to anyone.

From the very first phone call with Danie, I knew instantly I had found my wedding caterer. There was no need to look any further. We wanted our day to feel personal and intimate, less formal while still keeping that special wedding atmosphere and Danie completely understood that vision. He was incredibly responsive and accommodating, always coming to me with thoughtful suggestions to help bring everything together. He went above and beyond to make us feel at ease throughout the entire process, even when I changed things a few times. On the day itself, everything exceeded our expectations. The food was honestly 20/10. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about it, saying it was some of the best wedding food they had ever had… and my husband and I absolutely agree. Danie worked in extreme heat and under tight conditions without a single complaint. He delivered everything and more and after such a long day, he was still smiling while packing up. Thank you Danie, for being such a big part of our special day. You played a huge role in making it all come together so perfectly.
