In 2016, Craig and Colleen Matthews began their vintage car adventure, driven by a passion for exploration. Craig's VW Engine Centre background laid the foundation. 'Puff' led our fleet, swiftly joined by 'Paddy', 'Pippa' & 'Dale". Craig's meticulous restoration ensured each VW radiated charm and reliability. We hired Pippa from Kool Kombi & Bug Hire for our wedding day transport after our previously organised transport had fallen through. Kathleen was great to deal with, and Josh (our driver) went above and beyond on our wedding day - we couldn't have asked for more. Pippa was gorgeous and the team were fantastic. We highly recommend Kool Kombi & Bug Hire to anyone who's looking for transport for an important event.

We used many of the decor items from Kool Kombi & Bug Hire like wine barrels, wooden tables, stools, giant janga etc. The products are very well maintained and in excellent condition. The wine barrels are extremely well looked after.

We decided to hire a Kombi for our wedding day because we wanted a more relaxed feel and had to transport a large wedding party to the venue and to and from photos. Kool Kombi and Bug Hire have multiple Kombi’s to choose from and a range of different colours to suit your theme. Colleen was easy to communicate with and clearly outlined what could be included in our package. On our wedding day Colleen picked up the boys from one location, the girls from another, did two trips to a local photography location and back to the venue. During our ceremony it was raining, and we had left the umbrellas in the car. Colleen brought them out to us so that we were able to stay dry. She provided us with water to keep us hydrated, which is highly important on your wedding day! Colleen had wedding themed playlist which added to the fun during the trips. We took many photos with the Kombi and will enjoy the memories we made for years to come. Overall, Colleen was great at communicating, friendly, provided us with a relaxed travel experience and the Kombi was immaculate. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing experience with Kool Kombi & Bug Hire! Coleen was beyond incredible on our wedding day. She picked up myself and my bridal party from our Airbnb and was right on time, warm, and so lovely from the moment we met her. In one unforgettable moment, I actually tripped and nearly fell down the stairs and Coleen literally caught me and saved me from falling into the gravel in my wedding gown! We honestly don’t know what we would’ve done without her. She went above and beyond, even making space in the Kombi for a pram that couldn’t fit in our other car. Once we were all in, she made sure we had fans to keep cool, stubbie coolers for our drinks, and some great music to set the vibe. She thought of everything, and made us feel so relaxed and taken care of. We truly couldn’t recommend Kool Kombi & Bug Hire enough and if you can request Coleen, do it! She is an absolute gem and helped make our day that much more special. Mr & Mrs Noske 💗

Hi, We believe a Kombi is the best car for a beach wedding. Truly iconic beach/surfing vehicle.

Plus you can take the whole bridal party in 1 kombi (seats 7 passengers) and the grooms in another.

Our Kombis Puff and Paddy have air conditioning as well to help with the hotter days.
