Friday Creek Retreat, is the perfect blank canvas venue for an outdoor destination wedding and reception. A 100 acre luxury retreat in the rolling hills of the Orara Valley, just 15 minutes west of Coffs Harbour.
Our exclusive-use wedding packages includes accommodation for up to 40 of your closest friends and relatives (pets too!). With nine self-contained cottages, luxurious furnishings, vineyard, tennis court, resort style pool and amenities, your wedding will be a holiday getaway for your guests.
We provide the space, so you can let your creativity run wild by choosing your favourite vendors, styling, props hire, catering, and libations. We want this day to reflect your personality, so we leave the coordination details up to you.
Since you’ll have use of the entire property, privacy is assured. Your ceremony and photo-shoots can be held anywhere your hearts desire. From the lily-adorned lake, romantic island, centuries old eucalyptus stands, flowing creek or overlooking the gorgeous valley from the elegant stretch tent on our pool deck.
For your unforgettable outdoor reception, choose your favourite vendors or go DIY with all the details. We provide the stunning backdrop of manicured gardens, magnificent valley views and rustic charm. Choose between an intimate reception on our resort style pool deck equipped with an elegant Bedouin stretch tent, BBQ facilities, kitchen, toilets and space for 'bring your own' bar or catering hire options. Or choose one of our packages on the lawn for larger wedding parties, with the flexibility to hire your own marquee and make your unique vision come to life.

Stuart & I have owned Friday Creek Retreat for 3 years now, and we have dedicated a lot of time and energy bringing the property up to the standard this stunning place deserves. The beautiful Orara Valley is such a magical, tranquil and serene place for weddings or any type of celebration. Fifteen minutes drive from Coffs Harbour and 20 mins from Coffs Harbour Airport.
Friday Creek Retreat does not provide catering. You can choose any type of catering you'd like, there are no restrictions. We can recommend some great caterers in our local area.
Friday Creek Retreat does not supply bar staff. Your caterer may provide them or they may need to be arranged separately.
We do allow pets. Please contact us to confirm that your pet will be permitted and for a copy of our pet policy.
Friday Creek Retreat offers accommodation for up to 40 guests.
Yes. There will be a property manager onsite for the duration of the event.
For our intimate weddings package, a weatherproof stretch tent marquee will be installed on the pool deck prior to the event day as part of the wedding package. The outlook on the pool deck makes for a stunning location for exchanging vows and for a reception. For our larger wedding packages a marquee on the lawn is required and therefore will provide protection from wet weather.
All speakers must be turned off and loud sounds must end at 11:00pm on weekends and 10:00pm on weekdays.
Friday Creek Retreat does not provide styling. You are free to decorate and style your wedding however you like, as long as the venue is left in the condition in which you found it.
Yes, there is parking for all resident guests. We also have limited parking for non-resident guests and can recommend a transport shuttle service.
Friday Creek Retreat does not allow camping.
