A Marriage Celebrant has a very important Job.
Firstly, The MC must be registered, competent and up to date with all the regulations and Law, so that the correct documents can be completed and your marriage to be legal.
The MC should be creative and professional in obtaining information about your personal journey, writing that story and then articulating it to your friends and loved ones on your chosen date.
It is wise to meet with your Celebrant and see if you feel comfortable and relaxed with them.
A good Celebrant should spend at least 10 hours on your wedding ceremony from start to finish.

A Marriage Celebrant is by law required to legally solimnize your Marriage according to the Marriage Act 1961. They can do this by completing and lodging of all the
necessary legal paper work and then verbalizing, with you, the 124 legal words to solomnize your Marriage. To enjoy a more traditional Wedding with ceremony,
readings and or rituals, a Celebrant can create and then conduct such a ceremony according to your wishes. The below list is a typical Full Wedding Service offered.
I hope that helps:)
A Celebrant can help organise your wedding from start to finish with lots of resources for you to choose from such as poems, readings, songs etc.. The important thing we do is make your marriage legal. Other services we can perform include funerals, renewal of vows, commitment ceremonies, pet funerals and we even witness signatures on Statutory Declarations. Anything you would like to make official is a good reason to ring me!

A good marriage Celebrant takes all the stress out of your day. I fulfil all your obligations with legal paperwork, register your wedding, have as many meetups as required and include all emails and phone calls. As I have run events for the past 20 years I am well versed with rehearsals which I include generally the week prior by preference.
Your scipting of the wedding can be redone and redone until you are happy with the result. It will not offend me if you change anything at all. I offer an Order of Ceremony attached to your script and your script shows and explains exactly where responses are required.
I greet your guests and after conferring with you will seat them respectively. e.g. elderly, hearing impaired etc.

Put simply, A (Good) Marriage Celebrant is the one person that legally and creatively ties the the whole thing together. A (not so good) celebrant talks about themselves and what they do and takes too long to do so. I hope that helps. Regards, Ron.
As a celebrant I supply all the legal documentation, sample vows and ceremonies and advise couple on what should bve included in the ceremony to make it personal and different.
What don't we do?! Jokes aside, we actually do quite a bit but most importantly we make sure that you are legally married! We have done the study and have the experience to know what's legally required and also give you guidance in planning and executing the wedding of your dreams. I pride myself on personalised ceremonies so a lot of my time is spent getting to you know and your partner, your stories and writing a ceremony that is taliored to the two of you. On the day I make sure that the ceremony runs as we've discussed. I touch base with the photographer, videographer, venue coodinator, your parents, family and friends. I work out ways of encouraging little people down the aisle, provide your groom or partner with tissues before you make your entrance, calm nerves...the list is different for each ceremony! I speak for many of us when I say we love what we do and go above and beyond to make your day and ceremony memorable!

Using a marriage celebrant means that you can have the marriage ceremony that you want as a couple. It can be individual and unique. There are some things required by law (legal vows, certificates, witnesses, etc) and your celebrant guides you through this process and lodges the required paperwork. Celebrants can do a basic 'legals only' ceremony or they can work with you to create a ceremony that tells your story (How did you meet? What do you love about each other? What are your dreams of your life together?). Or a ceremony that reflects your sense of humour and involves your family.
The celebrant works with you, so your wedding day feels right for you. And that you have a professional supporting you on one of the most exciting and emotional days of your lives.
