I look after the legal paperwork of marriage and can help you craft a ceremony that reflects who you are. Your wedding day should reflect you and be a day of love and fun. It can be short and sweet, or have a range of poems, readings and rituals.
I have over 30 years experience working positively with people as a counsellor and I bring those skills to your beautiful day. My role as a celebrant is to help you each step of the way from our first contact to having the beautiful wedding ceremony of your choice.
I live in the Blue Mountains which is an ideal place to tie the knot. We have so many wonderful places in the Mountains to have your ceremony! I also look after Western Sydney, the Hawkesbury and further afield, so just ask me.

The celebrant is essential to your ceremony as it is our job to make the marriage legal but also to help you have the ceremony you want! So give yourself time. It's partly about getting bookings organised but also having a celebrant that you like and trust.
You don't want it to feel clunky and stressful on such a big day in your life. You want to enjoy it!
Is it OK to ask a celebrant to wear a costume at our wedding?
Hello! I've read some responses to celebrants dressing in a matching style etc. Is it rude to ask if they wouldn't mind wearing a costume? I've read somewhere a couple got married by batman and then the obvious Elvis option.. I like the idea of an iconic character and think it would be something to remember but wouldn't want to offend anyone or make it a bad experience. TIA

Of course. It's your wedding and it's great fun to do something different. If your celebrant wasn't happy with this, you just ask another until you find one who loves dressing up in costume as much as you do.

How can I have my dad marry us and it still be a legal marriage? How does this affect the price of a celebrant, and how does it change the ceremony?

Hi,
When you speak to a celebrant, you can explain tha you would like your Dad to marry you. As your Dad isn't an authorised marriage celebrant and it takes sometime to complete the course, do the assessment and then apply to the Attorney-General Department to get registered, he is probably not going to be able to do that in time. But the authorised celebrant can manage all the paperwork and the legal part of the ceremony (the manadatory vows, the monitum, the witnessing of the certificate) while your Dad does the rest! So he can tell the story of your relationship and pronounce you as husband and wife. The celebrant may reduce the price because they don't have to write the whole ceremony but they will charge for a legals only ceremony. Celebrants do vary quite a bit on price so you need to ask around. Good luck!
