I am a U.K. Citizen & hold a Student Guardian Visa in Australia. Can I marry an Australian Citizen whilst here or will I have to leave and re- enter on a tourist visa for purposes of our intended marriage and spousal visa application?

You can marry here in Australia - You need to sign the Notice of Intended Marriage and in one months time you can marry. Be aware that this is no way affects your visa nor does it give you any automatic rights to any other sort of visa
perhaps check with the Dept of immigration or a Lawyer for the correct legal information.
Good Luck :)
As long as you can provide proof of your identity & place of birth (Passport) and a Notice of Intended Marriage is completed and lodged with the celebrant that will marry you, you can absolutely be married here in Australia.

As the other celebrants have explained, you are fully able to marry in Australia. There is no advantage to being on a tourist visa. I would recommend you get good immigration advice about the paperwork, costs and delays of spousal visa applications. You would hopefully get a bridging visa to cover the time taken for permanent residency to be processed. Celebrants like us can help you have a wonderful wedding but we can't give immigration advice. Good luck!

You certainly can marry in Australia on any visa, so there is no need for you to leave the country and re-enter on a tourist visa . You need to make sure you have your passport and other photographic ID with you in Australia to meet the identification requirements of the Notice of Intended Marriage. This form needs to be filled out at least 30 days before your ceremony. I hope this helps!

You can marry in Australia as long as you are eligible under Australian Marriage law. You must be over 18, not currently married, and not be in a prohibited relationship (siblings or direct descendant). Citizenship or residency is not taken into account at all to determine eligibility to marry.
A visa application is an entirely different process, and as one of the other celebrants have mentioned, you can get a letter from your celebrant to confirm that you have lodged a 'Notice of intended marriage' to assist you in your application.

The other answers are correct. Australia is very accomodating in this regard. If you are here; you have the necessary documents (Passport). For a spousal Visa application - Any celebrant (that is switched on) will be able to do that for you (I do many such letter and the small cost is deducted from the marriage fee, if all goes well and you return to me for the ceremony). I wish you well and enjoy your stay in OZ.
Yes, you can marry whilst in Australia. As with all legal marriages in Australia, a Notice Of Intended Marriage must be lodged with your authorised celebrant, a minimum of one month prior to your marriage. Original, official documents must be sighted by your celebrant prior to your marriage for the NOIM to be completed. Eg: Birth Certificate, Passport, ID Card. Plus official evidence of the end of the previous marriage, if that is the case with either party.
you can marry while here but you have to give 30 days notice of intended marry
