Yes you can legally marry in Australia if on holidays as long as all the legal requirements have been followed ( giving a months notice of your intention to marry)

But marring in Australia fron another country does not mean that you can reside here.

You certainly can and I would love to help you.  First of all, you will need identification; Passport and Birth Certificate.

You would then need to complete the NOIM - Notice of Intended Marriage. This form must be signed and completed by myself and yourselves one month prior to your marriage.

Enjoy getting married in Australia.

Kind Regards

We would love to have you married in Australia.  You will need to get the notice of intended marriage lodged with an Australian Civil Celebrant at least one month prior to the actual wedding.  But don't panic, this can be done easily while you are overseas.   But give yourself plenty of itme as you will need to get it witnessed in your home place by an official.  All ID documents, divorce or death certificates need to be sighted by the celebrant when you arrive.

Enjoy Australian and your wedding.

Yes it is legal. The most importatn thing is that the notice of intended marriage has to be lodged with the celebrant a minimum of 1 month before. All ID documents, divorce or death certificates need to be sighted by the celebrant. The best thing is to speak with the celebrant well beforehand and she will assist you with the procedure.

Yes, it is legal. First of all I would advise you to find the right celebrant who would be prepared to conduct the ceremony on your special day.

If you come to Australia for less than a month, than your NOIM ( Notice of Intended marriage) would have to be fiiled in and signed overseas at the right place, with the right person ( e.g. Australian Embassy in your country)  and forward it to your celebrant by email earlier than a month before the wedding. Bring the NOIM (original)  with you to lodge it with your celebrant at your first meeting.

If you come to Australia for more than a month before the wedding, then you need to get in touch with the celebrant  and plan your visit to meet him/ her a month before the wedding. Then after you receive your marriage certificate from BDM ( Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages) , in the state where the wedding was held, you would need to go to the Department of Foreigh Affairs and get Appostile Stamp on your marriage certificate to make sure your marriage is recognised in your country.

Absolutely, providing that neither party is already married, you don't have to be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident to get married in Australia.  However you will need to check with your country if they will recognised a marriage in Australia as being legally valid where you reside.

I'm a celebrant, let me know if there is anything I can assist you with

You will need to have your birth certificate and passport. This inform will be needed to fill in your Notice of Intent form which must be filled in a full calender month before you are legally married.

Hello,

Yes of course you can get married in Australia. You must sibmit and lodge a Notice of Intended Marraige at least 30 days prior to the wedding, with an authorised celebrant in Australia. You will also need to provide proof of ID.

Please feel free to contact me directly for more clarification.
