I have recently retired and it was personal life experiences, happy and sad, that led me into the world of Celebrancy. What better work satisfaction is there than to; see couples hopelessly in love commit to each other either in legal marriage or commitment ceremony; parents doting over their new born at a naming ceremony; couples renewing their vows; families farewelling a loved one; with a ceremony designed just for them. Great question! As a celebrant, my goal is to make every ceremony as special and meaningful as possible. By limiting myself to just one ceremony per day, I can give each couple my full attention and focus. This means no rushing, no distractions—just me, you, and your big day. I want to ensure everything goes off without a hitch, with plenty of time for rehearsals, last-minute tweaks, and any little moments that might need extra care.
Your day is too important to be anything less than perfect, and by taking on only one ceremony a day, I can guarantee that I’m fully committed to you and your celebration!
I love helping set the perfect tone for your big day! With some of my packages, I take the time to interact with your guests before the ceremony begins. This helps get them excited and in the right mood, while guiding them on what to do during the ceremony. Whether it’s creating a fun atmosphere or letting them know when to cheer and when to stay quiet, it builds anticipation and makes the ceremony feel even more special. By the time you walk down the aisle, your guests will be buzzing with excitement, ready to celebrate you!

From personal vows to symbolic rituals like a family sand ceremony or a special blessing, I tailor the ceremony to celebrate the love that binds you all together. My goal is to ensure that every family member feels seen and important, making the ceremony not just about the couple, but about the joining of two families as well.
Unless I'm on deaths door I will attend your ceremony. However, in the event I am not able to attend, I have a wonderful group of celebrants I can call on to perform your ceremony.

No this is a personal choice and not a requirement
No it's not fashionable for the bride to be late, think of your guests who may be elderly or become hot, the catering etc. If the ceremony starts late, so does everything else.

My friend got married recently but she felt like she was pressured by the groom's family as everything happened in just a day. The celebrant filled the NOIM form, did the vows and gave the couple a marriage certificate, all on the same day. Is it even legal? Don't you need atleast a month gap between the NOIM lodgement and wedding day? Marriage has not been registered yet so she wants to cancel her wedding. Is there any way?

The NOIM must be signed and lodged with the celebrant at least 1 month prior to the marriage, it is illegal for this to be done on the day. It is also illegal to have forced marriages in Australia, in fact the Attorney Generals office introduced new legislation last year which celebrants must interview each of the couples individually to confirm 'real consent'. Therefore the Celebrant who has performed this ceremony without following these rules is in breach of the legislation.
