My partner and I live in Australia but I originate from NZ. I want my pastor to officiate our wedding and wanted to know if we can get married over here in Australia if he is our celebrant?

If you are registered in Australia... Civil Celebrant, you can only marry people in Australia, I know that a pastor ordained by the Universal Church can perform marriages globally, depends on the specific laws and regulation of each country and region as some jurisdictions may or may not recognize ULC ordinations for civic purposes like marriage.

My lovely couples do not wait long at all as I register all my weddings online. If they have ordered a marriage certificate extract application through me, it gets lodged the same day of the marriage or next day. Depending on BDM workload, they send a notification to the couple for payment and posted out shortly after. If its urgent, I have arranged for the couple to pick it up from BDM in Brisbane if they were flying overseas a d needed to take it with them.

Sweetheart, this was removed from weddings in Austtralia many years ago. What we do now is get the couple to sign a legal documents saying they have not lied to us and there is no legal reason why we would be unable to Officiate your marriage. So that puts the onice back on the couple. Very easy these days... stress free weddings are the way to go. lol
