FAQ

The best way to choose a Celebrant is to have a coffee with him. If you want humour in the ceremony, think how often you laughed over the coffee.  If you want romance in the ceremony, think how often you get a warm feeling about the way he expressed some parts of the ceremony.

And, if it doesn't work out, it has only cost you a coffee.

Send Blair a message or email, and he will get back to you.

Find out if Blair is available on your wedding day.  If he is, he will offer to meet so you can chat about what you want, and he can offer.

For those couples who choose him, expect laughter and tears, applause and cheers.  And people all night long telling you how great your ceremony was.

Send Blair a message or an email, and he will get back to you.

Blair’s style is to include the romance of your relationship and sprinkling in humour that puts smiles on everyone’s face.  He has a warm presence which your guests will enjoy.

Your experience will be fun and satisfying and your ceremony relaxed and easy for you.

While Blair has experience from a great many ceremonies, he is always happy to include new ideas and concepts.

His ceremonies tell your story, and are not a rehash of other people's weddings.

Send Blair a message or an email, and he will get back to you.

Most of my weddings are in Perth and its surrounds.  This includes Mandurah, Rockingham, Yanchep and the Swan Valley.

However, Blair services anywhere in Western Australia, and have done so from Broome to Margaret River.

Of course, a wedding always requires a run through to ensure everything goes smoothly on the day.

Things like where you stand, holding hands, posy flowers, trains on dresses, where is the sun shining, where or if congratulations will be, where is the signing table, who holds the rings and arrangements for music.

Because of this, for venues well out of Perth, Blair can travel the day before, to coordinate the rehearsal.

Expect a wonderful Ceremony, uniquely telling your story, filled with laughter, tears, applause and cheers.

Expect a great sound system and music for the ceremony.

Expect help in writing your vows (or Blair can write them).

Expect all the government forms done for you.

Expect everyone to rave about your ceremony, on the night, and for weeks to come.

AI Summary Review Summary
This is an AI generated summary of this supplier's rating and feedback.
Couples consistently describe Blair as an organised, calm and genuinely supportive celebrant who makes the whole process feel easy—even for those new to getting married or making last-minute changes. Reviews highlight his thoughtful, highly personal ceremonies that balance romance with light humour, alongside clear communication and careful preparation (including vow guidance, rehearsals and smooth coordination with other vendors). He’s especially praised for cultural sensitivity, family-focused touches, and accessibility for non-English-speaking guests through clear delivery. When unexpected issues arise—whether venue timing, guest travel uncertainty, or music problems—Blair stays patient and solution-focused, helping couples feel confident and unflustered on the day.

June 2026

Blair was an absolute pleasure to work with and we couldn’t have asked for a better celebrant. We probably weren’t the easiest couple to organise, as we were often slow with our replies and made changes right up until the last minute. In fact, we were still changing our wedding vows in the final hour before the ceremony! To make things even more challenging, international travel disruptions meant that flights for our guests from Germany and Denmark were constantly changing and being cancelled. We honestly didn’t know until three days before the wedding who would actually be able to attend. Our guest list seemed to change almost daily. Throughout all of this, Blair remained patient, professional, understanding and incredibly supportive. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble, and he helped us stay calm despite the chaos. On the day, he delivered a beautiful, personal ceremony that perfectly reflected us as a couple. We are so grateful for his flexibility, kindness and sense of humour, and we would highly recommend him to any couple looking for a celebrant who genuinely cares about making their day special.

I personally believe that Blair is undercharging for his services. There was so much that happened that we did not think of. He is not simply saying some words on the day, he was integral to keeping everything on track. Blair is an amazing celebrant who went the extra distance to make our wedding very special and fun. He met up with us several times leading up to the day, helping us plan and amend things, and even went above and beyond on the day, acting as our MC for no additional cost. Blair is truly an amazing celebrant. It is very obvious why he shows up at the top of search results. I would recommend him again to anyone who wants a comedic and light hearted celebrant who is able to adapt to changes and invent fixes to new problems on the fly. He managed the crowd very well and kept everything running smoothly on the day by communicating with each person and assisting with timing their responsibilities. Thank you Blair !!! from Sean and Sharon.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Sean and Sharon. It was fun working with you both, and your families from near and from all over the world. I am sure you will have a long and wonderful marriage.

July 2026

We had a lovely experience working with Blair as our celebrant. He was professional, organised, and helped ensure our ceremony ran smoothly on the day. We really appreciated his calm presence and guidance throughout the process. A special touch we loved was his suggestion to give roses to our mothers, which made the ceremony feel even more meaningful. He also went above and beyond by learning both mine and my partner’s language to welcome our families - something we truly appreciated.

Blair, thank you so so much for being our celebrant. We really appreciate the amount of effort and dedication that you put into your work compared to the price you charge (which is very reasonable)! And everything went off really well. Thank you again!!

Thanks Sanaya. It was great meeting you and Nayad after most of our communication was by video to London or Belfast. Sandalford was a great venue, and you both looked fabulous.

Is there a traditional left and right side for the bride's family and groom's family?

Does the bride's side traditionally sit on the left or the right at the ceremony?

Blair Fraser Celebrant

Traditionally, the family (and friends) of the bride sits on the left of the aisle as you are walking toward the front.  However, in a Jewish wedding, the seating is reversed.  Some folk see a marriage as the bringing together of two families, not dividing them.  So perhaps these are traditions best left in the past.   Also, this is a bit tricky where friends of both the bride and the groom are invited.

Eloping without witnesses?

My partner and I are thinking of eloping but just with our children and no witnesses. Is this possible?

Blair Fraser Celebrant

Hi

Sometimes the pressure and costs of a wedding get overwhelming, and folk just want to get it over with.

If by eloping, you mean marrying without inviting all of your family and friends, of course you can.  The Wedding Registrar is a private and inexpensive way to get maried.  Alternatively, you could engage a celebrant to do your wedding in your home or at the local park, with no fuss.  You need two adults to witness the wedding, but your celebrant might be able to arrange that as well, if you want the wedding to be a secret until it is done.

Good luck to you.

Blair Fraser

What makes original wedding vows really stand out, in your opinion?

Blair Fraser Celebrant

The first question to ask is why am I saying a wedding vow?

A wedding vow is a promise to your partner.  You don't have to say anything other that the first legal sentence, so if you decide to, do so for a reason.

Good wedding vows say something meaningful.  For example,  "I will love you when times are good, and I will be there for you when times are tough." This is the kind of thing couples, and your family and friends, remember.

Good wedding vows don't say things for the sake of filling in space.
