Looking for a Marriage Celebrant that's; Fun, Outgoing, who is open to ideas? My job is to create your perfect ceremony that’s right for you!

Welcome, I’m Matt Finch and I see myself as a modern-day celebrant.

I know that finding the right celebrant for your special occasion is a delicate decision and an essential element to a great wedding. I play an important role on the day of a wedding and I know how to make a celebration come together at just the right time.

Everyone is different, so I like to take the time to understand you and your partner and work with your character and needs, so I can help create a memorable experience for everyone.

As a modern-day celebrant, I’m free of rules and tradition. I am open to ideas, and it’s my job to create a ceremony that’s right for you and your beliefs, inclusive of race, religion or lifestyle. From a classic ceremony with a twist to something more daring, your wedding is what you want it to be, and I’m here to inspire, guide and support you on this journey.

I’m passionate about getting to know people and their story. A wedding is the beginning of a new chapter in your life, and as your celebrant, I’d be honoured to be part of that story. I look forward to meeting you,

I'm not sure what I need, How will I know?

The first meeting is a freebie, no obligations. It’s a chance for the three of us to have a relaxed chat.

We can facetime, meet for a coffee or a vino, or just call. Whichever suits you best.

I can fill you in on how all of this can work and let you know what to start thinking about.

And most importantly, we can see if we suit each other!

Can I personalize my ceremony?

Yes!, Of course.

We make it personal by:

Deciding who wants in. Which family or friends would be best to include and in what way?

Opening with an introduction about you - some interesting/fun/touching points or maybe a little history. Whatever suits,

but nothing generic.

Let’s create your own words - especially vows. (Which are not as hard as you may think!)

We had the pleasure of having Matt Finch as our wedding celebrant, and without a doubt, he exceeded every expectation. Recommending him feels like an understatement because his contribution to our day was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we connected, Matt was not just a celebrant, but a supportive guide through every step of the process. His assistance in crafting our vows and preparing for the big day was invaluable. On the day of the wedding, Matt truly shined. Despite the inevitable chaos of having many children in attendance, including our own three, he orchestrated the ceremony flawlessly. Matt did an incredible job of our wedding and I've lost count of how many compliments we've received from our guest who all loved him and really set the mood for the entire celebration. My partner and I were really uncomfortable about the ceremony but Matt gave us plenty of information and things to think about in preparing our ceremony and on the day I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would! He made us feel so comfortable, kept the mood relaxed and informal as per as instructions. We couldn't recommend Matt enough.

Can we write our own ring element into our wedding ceremony?

Wondering if the ring part of our ceremony can be personalised or if it has to be what everyone else has?

Absolutely! This is not a legal step so you can do whatever you wish. Just yesterday I had a couple who said the words that they had engraved inside their rings. Others make another promise or even use lyrics from a special song. The choice is yours! Most celebrants will give you some suggestions, but the choice is all yours.

I want an outside wedding... in November... in Australia. How can I keep everyone cool?

The weather is expected to be very hot but we don't want to sacrifice our dream. We'd love to have our wedding outside and under the stars but we don't want even sweating off their makeup and hating the day.

There's a few things that Matt Finch Celebrant suggests:

Ice! Have an iced water stand close by. Or chilled bottles of water. Chilled beer/wine if you get really generous.
Parasols/Umbrellas can be a fun way to block the sun and add some extra styling to the scene.
There are still plenty of gardens/venues that have shaded areas, under some nice big ol' trees could be awesome.
Have a 'Shoes - Off' policy if it really gets hot. Have a basket of various flip flops there as an alternative.
Maybe some hair bands to keep the girls hair up and body cooler?
Or allow the boys to remove their jackets. Not as nice looking, but they would worship you for it.
You could just set the dress code as something more relaxed allowing people to wear cooler clothing. 'Summer Linens', 'A hot day in the Hamptons', 'Cool and Classy' who knows! (I just totally made those up!) Anyway, just because it's a wedding, doesn't mean you have to be formal. A relaxed wedding can be incredible!
Lastly, I'm sure you could hire some kind of big industrial cooler if you're really worried. Just make sure it's not too loud!
