Carol Blamey - Civil Celebrant

I love being a marriage celebrant!

I never lose sight of the enormous privilege with which I am entrusted. The occasion of your wedding is of utmost significance to you as a couple, to your families, to your friends – and therefore, to me.

I am an experienced secondary English teacher. I have a keen interest in literature, creative writing and am a published poet. As a teacher, I have expertise in public-speaking, liaising and organisation. I am skilled at listening and responding to the needs of others. All of these are great assets in my work as a celebrant.

I am married, with three daughters. I was thrilled to officiate as the celebrant at our second daughter’s wedding!

I enjoy meeting people, being involved in our local community, going to the theatre, reading, travel, walking, tennis, cooking . . . and my cat!

I am highly professional, friendly and approachable. I love writing ceremonies which will resonate and remain memorable for everyone present. Even though it was some years ago, I clearly remember the joy and excitement of collaborating with the marriage celebrant for our own wedding. I endeavour to create the same wonderful experience for you, at this special time of your lives.
