A simple, no-fuss ceremony with just the legal wording and paperwork, but if you would like, you can also include a ring exchange at no extra cost. Great for couples wanting a simple ceremony in their local area or those that would like to get legally married before their overseas wedding. We assist with all questions, including how to have an overseas ceremony.

Of course, I can show all these suppliers and venues and then you get to pick who you would like!
I can make it so easy for you to organise, less stress, access to all our "local" suppliers.
1. We can organise music for Ceremony only.
2. We can also organise music for the Ceremony - live and/or pre-recorded.
3. Support Local - I make it soooo easy for you. I am in contact with all Blackwood Valley & Southern Forests wedding suppliers. I can give you a list of our local suppliers and I have some great ideas to match you with your venue, accommodation, "personal" caterers, florists, make-up artists, hairdressers, photographer and/or videographer. All local and easily able to accommodate you. Being intimate and despoke, we can also organise all in the one place or very nearby. Think, your wedding dinner or lunch exclusive in your B&B or 5 Star Glamping venue in your very own bespoke dining room, waited on by your own personal caterers or delivered to you and you do the rest! You get to choose.

Is it the norm?
If I want to hold my ceremony internationally, can I use a friend as my celebrant ?
We are wanting to have a destination wedding and a lot of the venues are providing non-legal wedding celebrant. Could we just get our fiend to officiate the ceremony instead of using these ? We will be coming back to Aus and getting officially married at a registry, we just want the non-legal ceremony and reception. Please let me know if anyone knows if this is possible.

Yes, as everyone else has stated as long as the legal requirements are performed by Civil Celebrant. Then your friend can do the rest.
Ut is much easier to get the legal paperwork completed in Australia first.
A ceremony that is performed at a later date after the legal ceremony has taken place is called a "Committal Ceremony" there are plenty of good examples of committal ceremonies with templates on the internet.
If you want to get legally married overseas you can check to see if that particular country is also recognised by Australia as a legal place of marriage. A good way to check is by checking with the Australian Embassy. Also in the event of legally getting married overseas such as Bali or other countries, there may be paperwork that needs to be filled in at the Australian Embassy or Consulate of that country and a Australian Consular official will have to officiate the legal parts if two Australian citizens are wanting to "legally" get married overseas.
Otherwise if it is a non legal wedding, then anyone can officiate without using the legal wording.

Hi there! Just popping in to help with your question around changing your name after marriage.
The good news is, anyone who marries can choose to take their spouse’s surname, but it’s totally optional and not legally required.
If you do want to make the switch, you’ll need to get your official certificate of marriage from the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages in your state or territory, current $55 (just a heads-up: the certificate you received on your wedding day is ceremonial and won’t be accepted by most government agencies).
You’ll find all the official info laid out in the Happily Ever Before and After brochure (page 3) your celebrant would’ve provided, it’s a super handy guide that covers all of this in more detail!

Purchasing you Marriage Certificate - example link for WA Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages or you can go to your local courthouse with your ID and purchase it there. In regional areas, it is usually your local police station that doubles as the local court house too.
