OVERVIEW

Together we can create a ceremony that will be full of special memories, to treasure forever.

Hi my name is Debbie Hodge, I love to work with people creating a sacred ceremony, for marriage, baby naming and for funeral or life celebrations.

My aim is to never do the same ceremony twice, as I believe just as everyone is unique so to are the needs of a ceremony for that individual/s.

I live in the Northern Rivers of NSW as I love beauty, and around Uki we have much beauty, Wollumbin-Mt. Warning, Border Ranges, Mebbin, Midginbil, Doon Doon, where I lived for 14 years with my children growing up there, Crams Farm is of course such a beautiful spot for ceremonies.

Then we have the beautiful beaches of the Tweed Coast, and Southern Gold Coast, as I grew up myself at Currumbin and Burleigh Heads, so I always enjoy doing ceremonies there as well. The wonderful backdrop for the Gold Coast, Springbrook and Natural Arch are also favourites of mine for ceremonies. Yes I love nature and nature loves me.

Can a religious priest/minister/pastor marry you in a non-denominational chapel?

Please post as anonymous, thank you.

Debra Hodge - Wedding Celebrant

Hi I am a Civil Celebrant, so you would need to ask a Religious Celebrant, as they do have different rules to us.

How can I encourage my partner to write their vows?

I've written mine and I'm still waiting to find out about theirs- is there anything I can do without nagging? The wedding is only two weeks away

Debra Hodge - Wedding Celebrant

I make suggestions that couples may wish to write their individual vows, being that each individual does express themselves in different ways.  Also, are grateful for different attributes each has in a relationship.  Most young couples I marry choose to write their personal vows and give them to me in a sealed envelope for safe keeping until the ceremony.  Some ask me to have a peek and just check that they are on the same page as their partner though.

Other couples are happy to use some of the examples I give them in a booklet to use.

Do canapes have to be kosher for our Rabbi?

We are having wedding ceremony at reception venue 1st with a Rabbi offici Do canapes after have to be kosher, when we are signing the documents? What is the protocol? Kosher food is very expensive. The Rabbi will not be attending the reception but will be present when canapes are offered around.

Debra Hodge - Wedding Celebrant

This is a funny question. If you have a Rabbi to marry you, why would you question having kosher food?
