I always encourage people to speak in the language that they're most comfortable with, as this would allow them to be themselves and express freely, easing the stage fright on top of that. Can we involve our pets in our ceremony?

Absolutely - furbabies are family! That said, it really depends on how your pets will behave when surrounded by a crowd. I would highly recommend that you assign someone to be your pet-carer for the day as you wll be very busy with the other aspects of your wedding day. By delegating this responsibility to someone it will definitely ensure your pet(s) are happily involved by not overwhelming you both.

What languages can you speak?

I speak English, Mandarin, Japanese, Cantonese and French! My Malaysian background also equipped me with Malay (Bahasa Malaysia), and I'm always down to add more to the list.

Do you travel domestically/internationally?

Absolutely! I'm more than happy to travel to a place that's meaningful to you and your partner when you get married. As a wanderlust myself I enjoy travelling to new places to begin with, and I have travelled extensively for work even before becoming a Celebrant, including Italy, France, Japan, Singapore, and Taiwan.

Do you host tea ceremonies?

Of course! Tea ceremony is such an important aspect in traditional Chinese weddings, and I love hosting it with a comtemporary take! I'm more than happy to cater for your needs at your tea ceremony. I strive to create ceremonies that reach a balance between respecting the traditions, meeting family expectations and keeping it modern.

How would you describe your style?

Bubbly, energetic, with a heartwarming touch.

Do you provide translations and interpretations?

Yup! Think of me as your personal Google Translate but better (wink) Accurate translations with a human touch! Live interpretation is not just about the languages, it is also about the understanding of culture and social expectations. With my knowledge and expertise I'll be able to create a ceremony (plus reception) that's inclusive and welcoming for all, so nothing is, literally, lost in translation.

We had Yo Zi as our celebrant and we are so grateful we had her. From the very beginning Yo Zi was friendly and made us feel like she wanted to get to know us, as well as being so helpful and organised with all the legal paperwork of getting married.
