Phil has lived in the Blue Mountains since 1985. He is a retired Engineering Manager for an international manufacturing business. He loves British comedy, classical music, Italian opera and maths, public speaking and is an advocate of gender equality. If you want to sneak away to a local park (Penrith or Lower Blue Mountains) for a quiet elopement, as long as you bring along two witnesses and give me the mandatory one month's notice (legal requirement), I can offer my elopement special for $420 paid in advance. A discount applies for couples in economic hardship.
Conditions: No rehearsal, short but still persona;ised ceremony, meet locally Penrith to Springwood, no PA system. I will still wear my formal suit.

The celebrant must keep the NOIM locked in a secure cabinet until the wedding unless it is being worked on. The only situation where a celebrant releases the NOIM is for a couple to take it to a prescribed authority to apply for a shortening of time. Then it must be returned to the celebrant.
Non-religious Celebrant in a Chapel
Hi, My Fiancé and I have booked in through the Cooma Parish to use the Thredbo Chapel for our big day (and paid in advance). If we have declined using the catholic priest can we use a non-denominational Civil celebrant, or are we required to use a religious celebrant?

A non religious marriage celebrant can perform a wedding in a chapel if the church that owns the chapel agrees
It is entirely up the owners of the chapel
Celebrants can perform weddings anywhere in Australi if the owner of the property agrees
