I have blush bridesmaids dresses and don't know what suits would go best with this colour?

Friends of mine have said a navy however my fiance wasn't the biggest fan when he tried on a navy suit.

Hey KeviStephanou,

When you style your men several factors play a role in deciding what to wear. Venue Location (and it's style), Wedding Theme, Flower arrangements and bridemaids colours. Whilst Navy is a broad colour range, I would advise your fiance try on various colours before deciding he doesn't like the colours. Manufacturer's and stockists are on a "new Navy" bent currently. This is a super dark navy, and there are definitely lighter shades available. This said, if you have a rustic themed, garden styled wedding with native flowers, opting for more traditional colours (light to mid grey's), and semi-formal looks (chinos and sportscoats) may be preferred.

I advise speaking to your suit specialist, and remember to listen to your fiance. His input will guide you a little bit into a compromise that keeps you both happy, but remember to think about the four things that should factor into your decision.
1- Does he look good in the colour?
2- Does the suit match the theme of the wedding?
3- Is the suit (outfit) formal enough for the wedding?
4- Does it compliment/blend/contrast with the colours selected for the wedding?

Keep this in mind, and you'll be fine.

If you have any further queries please feel free to ask.

Hi

Blush usually goes well with navy or even a brighter shade of blue, charcoal, mid greys and even a biege/grey colour that we have. You have plenty of choices the best way to decide is to come in and the groom can try on a few different colours, if you have a swatch of material or the actual bridesmaid dress  bring them in. We will match  the  tie to the colour also or have them made up in the same fabric. If we can be of any further assistance please dont hestitate to call or come in.

Hi there,

Blush pink is a beautiful choice for bridesmaid's dresses and as it is a soft colour, it's best to go with navy, grey or charcoal in suiting. If you partner is not too keen on navy you can go for a lighter or blended blue colour, for example at InStitchu we have fabric 10 which is a blend of charcoal/blue and would compliment well. (not the typical navy!)
Alternatively in terms of charcoal, a lighter tone works well as it's not too dark and doesn't overpower the colour of the bridesmaids.

If you are going down the tailor made suit option, the groom and groomsmen also usually have options of what lining colours they would like which you could use as a way to tie in the colour of the dresses.
Hope this helps!

Hi there,

Navy is definitely a favoured option with your mentioned bridesmaid colour, there are various shades of navy so not to sure which shade your fiancé tried on?

Another alternative is charcoal, we have quite a dark charcoal which is very sleek and works extremely well for weddings...this is available in our Wolfpack.

We also have quite a selection of bridal ties/bows...in which we have a few in the above colour.

Hoping this info was of help.

Any further question please feel free to ask.

Ash

Hi,

Blush is one of the most amazing colours to have as a bridesmaid dress. As it is a light colour, usually we would pair it with a navy, just to give it that striking contrast. If your fiance wasn't keen on navy you could also consider a bright navy/cobalt colour. It still has that blue undertone but is not as dark as a traditional navy.

You could also pair blush with a light grey, not so much a charcoal as it may seem too dull next to it. But a light grey will also work with it.

There is also an option to do a chocolate brown, which gives it an 'earthy' feel. Brown and pink (dusty pinks and the like) complement each other very well too.

Another factor to consider is what colour flowers your bridesmaids wil be carrying, you could incorporate the blush and light colours into the bouquet to both compliment and contrast with the men's suits, which will look perfect in photos. In one wedding I attended a number of years ago, the groomsmen wore a dark navy suit with white shirt and silver ties, while the bridesmaids wore a cobalt blue dress with silver jewels around the neck. They carried bouquets of white roses with blue orchids, with tied in with the blue theme and contrasted with the navy.

I hope this has helped you. Good luck with everything.
