Extremely petite and not sure if trying on dresses will be worth it?
I am super short and very slender so I know I will disappear under a dress. Is it worth booking an appointment, as trying on dresses may be disheartening and difficult for my family to watch. Should i just have my dress custom made?

I suggest you make an appointment with a couture designer, when petite girls come to see me I pin in my samples and drape fabrics and laces around them to create the correct proportion and show the shapes and sillouettes that will work best. If you are petite it is best to have your gown made to measure so the propotions suit your shape and height, it's a really lovel experience if you go to someone who is a skilled designer and can work with your individual shape, style and budget. i can relate to you as i am I am super short and very slender too :)! it does not matter how big or small we are, we are beautiful uniquely!!! Please do not feel reluctant trying on wedding dresses because you will never know what might turn out :). Just make an appointment then bring with your mum with you so you both can have some special time together. After that you will have some very good ideas of what you want and dont then you can go home have some space to process it then make your final decision then. BEST WISHES. Ashleigh
