As a little girl, I always envisioned arriving at my wedding in a horse and carriage, so when we were viewing Maroon Hill Estate, we jokingly mentioned it. To our surprise, the owner mentioned Drayhorse Shire, located right next door, and it felt like a sign that we had to have them at our wedding. Despite the weather not being the kindest to us on the day, the team at Drayhorse Shire went above and beyond to make my dream a reality. They were so accommodating, and together we came up with a game plan that worked perfectly. Their professionalism and commitment made the whole experience even more special. The ride in the horse and carriage was truly magical—a moment I will never forget. It was the perfect touch to our day and made everything feel even more enchanting. Our wedding caterer exceeded our expectations in every way possible! From the moment we did our food tasting at their commercial kitchen on the Gold Coast, we knew we were in for a treat. We left the tasting so full that our bellies were bursting—everything was so delicious, we couldn’t stop eating! On the big day, the catering team did an exceptional job despite the weather challenges. They fought through the rain with such professionalism, ensuring everything went smoothly. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how much they enjoyed their meals—everyone said the food was fantastic! A huge thank you to the team for not only delivering amazing food but also for their dedication and hard work. Sinead and Tunya from One Love Bridal are absolutely the dream team every bridal party needs for a wedding day. As someone who’s very particular about her hair and makeup, I was a little nervous, but from the moment I met them, I felt completely comfortable and knew I was in good hands. They listened to every detail and made sure I felt exactly how I wanted to on my big day. Nothing was ever too much trouble—they were incredibly accommodating and made sure everything was just right. The best part? My makeup and hair lasted all night, even while I was dancing in the rain! I couldn’t have asked for anything more. We fell in love with Maroon Hill Estate the moment we saw it on Instagram—but nothing compares to seeing it in person. The views of Mt Maroon are absolutely breathtaking, and from the first visit, we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding. Although we had originally planned for an outdoor ceremony, Mother Nature had other plans—bringing 70mm of rain on the day! But the incredible Maroon Hill team didn’t miss a beat. They worked seamlessly with our stylist and coordinator to create a stunning indoor ceremony setup that truly felt just as special. It was beautiful, warm, and so full of love. A special shoutout to Drew, the event manager on the day, who was just fantastic. He was always nearby, checking in with the warmest smile, and made sure we had absolutely everything we needed. His calm, can-do attitude made us feel so looked after. The venue itself, along with the accommodation, was of such high quality. From the thoughtful amenities to the cozy spaces and the overall vibe—it had everything we could possibly need for a stress-free, unforgettable weekend. We were also so touched to receive the most beautiful, personalised leather photo album from the Maroon Hill team—a thoughtful and meaningful keepsake that we will truly treasure forever. I am absolutely in love with my wedding dress—the “Clementine” gown by Stella York, found at the incredible White Lily Couture. From the moment I walked into the boutique, the lovely ladies at White Lily made the entire experience so special. They were warm, thoughtful, and genuinely excited to help me find the one—and wow, did they deliver. “Clementine” was everything I dreamed of and more. The fit was flawless, the details were breathtaking, and most importantly, I felt amazing in it. I danced the night away in total comfort and even twirled in the rain for one of my favourite wedding photos—it moved so beautifully and made every moment feel magical. Where do I even begin with Zoe and her incredible team? From the very first Zoom call, I knew she was the stylist I had to have for our wedding. I had been following Zoe on Instagram for a while, completely in love with every wedding she touched—each one styled to absolute perfection. And ours? It was no exception. Zoe was not only our stylist but also our on-the-day coordinator, and she was beyond amazing. She thought of every little detail, kept everything running seamlessly, and was already one step ahead of things before I even thought of them. Her calm presence and sharp eye meant I could just relax and enjoy every moment, knowing we were in the best hands. When the rain came, Zoe was right there—umbrella in one hand, my dress in the other—making sure I felt calm, cared for, and completely in the moment.
