I struggled to find a dress with a classic shape and sleek finish (I personally didn't want a lace mermaid dress and it felt like that was almost the only thing available). Brides on Collins stock dresses by Wendy Makin. I was lucky enough to meet the woman herself at my fitting, and, after hearing what I liked and didn't like, she advised me to check out a particular dress from her forthcoming collection. It was exactly what I wanted: I purchased it on the spot. It was made to order in a timely manner--not too early before the wedding, to allow for possible changes to my body. The fit was spot on and so comfortable and flattering. On the day and now, afterwards, looking at the photos, I couldn't be happier. I also got lots of comments about how tasteful and elegant my dress was. When getting my dress dry cleaned after the event, my professional wedding dress cleaner commented that Wendy Makin dresses are always in demand and don't lose much value because they're so well made and designed.

Fiona runs Something About Cake from her home, and her prices are very reasonable, yet her products have the same quality of any expensive high-end business. I wanted an immaculate plain white cake with a pristine finish for my florist to top with fresh flowers, and that's exactly what she delivered. Utterly flawless finish. And her flavours are all so yummy: good luck choosing one!

Farnoosh was excellent. Her professionalism and easy-going style helped to keep the morning stress-free and fun. I loved the natural way she did my makeup and the simple but elegant style she achieved with my asymmetrical hairdo. My sisters/bridesmaids also felt very beautiful thanks to her. Farnoosh used high quality products that stayed in place really well and gave great coverage without looking or feeling heavy. In the photos, everyone looks radiant rather than heavily made-up. I highly recommend her services.

Christian stepped in to photograph our wedding at late notice when the photographer we'd booked needed to take time off for medical treatment. He was fantastic: a very friendly and authentic guy who really listened to what we wanted. He was so easy to work with on the big day and kept everything fun and undemanding, while jumping at every one of our requests. We love the end product: our photos are both elegant and unpretentious, and beautifully presented. Finally, Christian was amazing good value. He gave us digital copies of hundreds of photos taken on the day for a fraction of what other photographers would have charged us.
